Wolf or huge coyote ?

He certainly does look to have some size to him.

And a thick full tail.  But has that narrow yote nose.  I say a very big, perfect specimen of the coyote.

Definitely  a coyote. We have some here that are that big and a few bigger.

It is a bit hard to apply any scale to the critter. Nothing there to really compare it to. But I have seen some huge coyotes down here in Ontario County, and I would imagine that the Adirondacks could grow some big ones too.

Also, looks like that typical classic yote stripe on its back if I'm seeing that correctly.
