greg54
I was taking walk thru Golden Hill St.Park earlier today and came across this snake going across path I was walking. It was moving tip of its tail like a rattlesnake would when coiled up, but there was no rattle. And it lunged out to bite when it was coiled. I know nothing about snakes so was wondering if anyone knew what kind it was.

wooly
Milk Snake Yup- all that acting they do, and they are actually harmless constrictors. I love their color patterns!
Pygmy
Milk snake....They are not venomous, but they ARE very defensive and will strike like crazy if threatened.. Locally, they are called spotted adders...Bum rap, since REAL adders are generally very venomous, and the name makes them sound dangerous , which they are not...
