Why are there so many idiots out there faking cougar sightings?? I mean I have actually seen a few around Highland Forest, in Onondaga Co.,  and I even killed one once on my front porch with my pocket knife (photos got destroyed in a mud slide), but why lie about it.

one got hit on the highway in Albany a few years back I don't remember any further west though. Last year there was one in Mass right by the thruway toll at the NY border
