fasteddie
I had the string break on my Ben Pearson TX-4 a couple weeks ago . That bow was set at 60# pull . I have been shooting my backup bow which is a Parker EZ Draw set at 70# . What a difference ! I need to get my bow to a shop and the shop in Phelps was recommended but that is quite a trip . Not sure if Trader Point Archery in Henrietta is still in business . Bullseye Archery is another long haul . A small local archery shop had closed up a while ago so I have to make some calls and git 'r done .

fasteddie
Eddie If you buy replacement string/cables, happy to swap them for you. I am in Webster. Thanks . I have another set of String and cable for the Ben Pearson . I got 2 sets a few years ago for doing a review on another site . I tried calling Trader Point Archery and the number is no longer any good . The fellow that changed my string & Cable before closed his shop . I won't go to those jokers in Williamson . I shot 31 arrows this afternoon and another 16 after supper . I can still draw 70# . I'll be okay with the Parker . I just feel more comfortable having a backup bow . nyslowhand
Jim's Pro Shop is on Rte96 between Manchester (Rte21) and the Fingerlakes Race Track (Cty Rte 8, Canandaigua Rd out of Macedon). Owner is the real expert, but has a day (paying) job. His son works afternoons and isn't the real expert. Meaning..if you venture down there, go after ~5PM or on weekends. Haven't been down there in a couple years, but at that time the owner was talking retirement, so things may have changed with who works when! Want better directions, PM me! Culvercreek hunt club
I've used both guar n teed archery in marion and traditions in henrietta and both did good work. I wouldn't let Traditions restring a long bow.
Five Seasons
what's the hate on traditions? I've only used them for a drop away and restringing my compound, but both were done well and timely.
moog5050
Belo Too long to explain, but lets just say that there is a reason why I bought my own press and learned to assemble and tune compounds after dealing with Traditions.

fasteddie
Took my Ben Pearson TX-4 to Moog's home tonight . He replaced my string and cable with the one's I had and setup my bow for me . I took a few shots in his basement and will have to do some minor tweaking with the sight when I get a chance outdoors in the next couple days . Real nice guy and I was impressed with what he was able to do . Thanks a million Moog !

fasteddie
He didn't tell you where to sit for that big 8 did he? LOL. No , he didn't offer to advise me on that but mentioned that you had helped him out a lot . I was quite impressed with the knowledge that Moog has acquired in a few short years of bow hunting . It is nice to be able to practice shooting 20 yards in a basement ! Thanks for your advice also !
