It's a bit bitter, and hoppy, but still very good. Not fruity or sweet. It's kind of like a Yuengling Black and Tan on steroids. I honestly can't explain it. If you find one near you give it a try, just don't have it with pasta, it's more of a red meat or grilled/bbq'd chicken kind of beer IMO. Seems like it would be great to soak some brats in to make beer brats.

Three Heads brewery is around the corner from my firehouse , we've gone a few times after work, and a few for false trips of their alarm system. I've neglected to write them up .....
