New arrows

In the market for new arrows. I am shooting a drop away at 58 pounds and 3 blade rage broad heads. I'm thinking about gold tips XT hunters with blazer vanes. What are your thoughts?

Get rid of the 3 blade Rages as stated above , they are illegal .

I was shooting Black Hawk Vapor arrows (made by Gold Tip) but switched to a heavier arrow . I now shoot the Arrow Dynamics Big Game Hunters and went from a "thwack" to a "THUMP" !

i shoot eastons carbon infused nano tubes, they are great with my 2 blade RBHs. i would also ditch the 3 blades, they are indeed illegal in NYS. Dont use them, the 2 blades are far supirior then the 3 blades anyway...

you could change to a recurve and try one of these bad boys on for size... cedar arrow with Zwickey 125 gr broadhead

ditch the 2 blade as well and switch to slick tricks!  I still have easton carbon evolutions that I love but not many left.

I use carbon express terminator 60 75 found at walmart for around $7 to $8 bucks each with a Crimson Cuda 3 blade expandable broadhead (1-3/4'' cut) and the carbon express laser eye lighted nock.

this is the arrow that smoked my 10 pointer last bow season.

Been shooting Arrow Dyn. Hunters for years,its the energy that gets the penetration not the speed.

Thanks fellas, the 3 blade was a typo it is the 2 blade. Skyzmine checked out the carbon express, they look good.

the best thing is you can buy 1 at a time as you need them.

I use the Carbon Express Maxima Hunters, havent had any issues with them yet, but will be switching over the the Victory Vforce arrows, which are all matched to within +/- .5 grain weight tolerance in a dozen and +/- .001 to +/- .006 straightness depending on which grade you buy.

What bow are you shooting and what dl?

At 58lbs, I'd look a little hard at the expandable choice, specifically the Rages. Slick tricks, or strikers, etc. might make for a little more of a reliable bh...maybe the grim reapers.

If you do stick with the Rages...I'd be looking to maximize penetration, and I'd want something in that 390-420 grain total weight.

Beman mfx series would do well...they're great with slick tricks.

I side with phade on this one, I shoot CX Piledrivers, they are 11.3 gpi, which is on the heavy side but thats what I prefer. I am at a 29 inch draw and 70 pounds so I my set up is differnt than your's though.

Hello all. I'm shooting a Hoyt Vectrix @ 31' draw length. I was shooting 70# but hurt my shoulder during a fall. Right now I am shooting the Easton axis 400. I just shot the Easton N-Fused Nano, Very smooth shooter in my bow. I am checking out the Victory

I shoot Gold tip xt-hunters they work well for me. I would by them in nothing less than +-3 or better
