growalot
As in the DR mower kicked my butt today...out of all the jobs I have the summer time weed trimming is the absolute worst...there is so very much of it to do a hand held kills my back and arms. The DR zips through on wheels but it weighs 60#s and we have hundreds of yards in banks culverts to do. pushing it and pulling it works every thing ..Neck,shoulders,arms and legs...Legs so when I push it down a bank,I don't go with it...lol Chef salad for dinner to night! Whats your least favorite summer job?

Pygmy
What Stone said....I hate running the weedwhacker.. My ex an I had a DR on our place...It is a good tool, but you are spot on about it being a workout to run the damn thing.. I hope she is still struggling with it....Hehehehehehe ! Lawdwaz
I'm heading out in a few minutes to weed whack my .20 acre lot...............Wife and son cut the lawn last night so it's the least I can do. LEAST favorite, I can't say............one thing I'll say is that I have NO favorite summer jobs.

Dom
Weed whacking is a PITA!Least favorite is stacking hay in the barn.
Pygmy
My least favorite would probably be stacking hay in the barn also, Dom... Fortunately, I have not done that since Moby Dick was a minnow...
grampy
Trimming hedges, push mowing the ditch out front and weed whacking. Those are my least favorite. But it looks so nice when they are done. So it's worth it! It took a long time, but I finally graduated to driving the tractor and letting the young guy's put the hay in the barn. Gencountyzeek
I split 2 face cord of wood today by hand. I will say it's a good work out but not my favorite thing to do.
Otto
Weeding gardens and mulch beds. Never ending and if you miss a week, you will be behind two.
Zag
Weed whacking is a PITA!Least favorite is stacking hay in the barn. Man i did that at a farm from around age 12 to 16ish. Boy was i in shape, sadly i enjoyed it, i would blow hay boogers for days. I got to drive trucks around the fields picking up loose bales. Good memories for me. I'm sure ill have my son do the same thing in about 6 yrs.
growalot
i would blow hay boogers for days. LMAO..I remember those they were nasty and black...but it was the non stop itchies that got me. That and...I just can't were gloves ...my hands were tore up! Low person on the totem pole...I got to grab them off the conveyor in the barn loft to stack in 90 degree weather... Five Seasons
Tree trimming is something I enjoy, but large enough branches have created some close calls and I don't get as excited to run the chainsaw or pick up the big mess after if it's hot. So usually this becomes a later winter task
dbHunterNY
weed whacking is definitely a pain. I always end up hosing myself off just because it's caked onto my pant legs and shoes. by far the worst is haying or picking rocks on the farm. cows are gone. everything possible been hay fields. all square bales to sell and handle by hand into the barn or semi-truck or both. everything seeded down now so not much for rock picking. not living on farm and readily available and so I don't do as much now. work in an office now so when haying gladly pick up gloves. still weigh the same too but pants have gone up a couple sizes and lost a set of abs. haying is even worse now. lol
