sorry about the sideways photo, thought it was upright before I posted. but  thanks for the  compliments. this is one of 8, the platforms are 2 feet wide and 3 ft long. they are super rigid, I assemble with construction adhesive and 3 inch deck screws,i use chains to attach to the tree with a long threaded bolt to draw tight.

I was gonna say... stand it up it's no good on it's side.  LOL  I just made a wooden stand between 2 pines 16 ft up. Have since added a seat and a rail on the back side. All the steps have 3 deck screws and one 6" lag screw.

Looks sturdy. Perhaps came the ladder tho... it's very noticeable. The deer (where I hunt) would pick it out and be gone! Just a thought... no negative implied.

No offense at all ,  but that stand has been in that tree for months now plenty of time for deer to get used to it by October . We have hunted out of these type of stands for many years and have killed lots of deer from them . Besides deer are color blind .

That would be the least of my worries. I have shot deer out of fields that had trucks in the middle of them that got stuck that day.

Just wondering what your all in cost is on one of these. Paint, wood, screws, chains, bolts, adhesive...?

Nice looking stand, looks sturdy and comfy!

well I have never kept track of cost, but I buy construction adhesive by the case, 5 lb tubs of deck screws and I bought the paint at home depot it was a 5 gallon of there oops paint ,but I think I got the 5 gallons of exterior paint at like $40 bucks. you could easily figure it up just decide on your height  and width/ length of the platform you want and figure  in your rungs etc . the entire reason I started building them was the wife did not like how unsteady the store bought ones felt  when she climbed them and I hated the lack of foot room and she likes the big plat forms it makes her feel safer and I like them as I can stretch out the legs (I am 6-3).
