I just got back from the HOLY LAND . We visited Many places in Jordan and Israel . We were supposed to do an extended tour to Egypt but that was cancelled out prior to leaving the USA . Later about the trip . Got a lot of catching up to do .

There were israeli Troops and police all over the place . When boys turn 18 , they have to join the army for 3 years . The girls , 2 years . It was nothing to see these guys all over the country with weapons slung over their shoulder . They looked like Boy Scouts with guns . We were told not to get caught taking pics of them with their guns ! Nothing like riding along in a tour bus and seeing an armored vehicle with a 50 cal machine gun on it .........

It was a great trip . Got to soak my feet in the River Jordan where Christ was baptized . We went to numerous places . The food was great in the hotels . Did a lot of walking !

Eddie you wild man! whats a matter, you didn't want to book a trip to North Korea, or Iran or any of the other hot spots right now? Good thing you weren't there went it all started cause we would be blaming that on you too!

I was thinking about having my picture taken on a camel . They didn't charge anything to get on the camel but .............. they charged big bucks to get off the darned thing !  ???

The River Jordan ......from the Jordan side . There were Israeli soldiers on the other side . I had put my feet in the water and had someone take a picture but aparently the lens didn't click .
