Elmo
Awesome hunt, I love it when it happens like it supposed to. I remember when my wife was pregnant with our daughter and due November I hunted something like 6 times and killed 3 deer. Sometimes it just works out that way. Congrats! How many with the bow is this? This is also actually my first with a bow.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Elmo
Congrats man! The one side looks like a thick base. Maybe something more broke off?Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNow that you mention it, both bases were slightly jagged. I never thought of it but maybe both were broken off.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Elmo
Maybe a rare doe with antlers? Though I assume Elmo would have noticed it had no male junk when gutting Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHe had a decent size pair for sure.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shawnhu
Yea, that's what I was saying too.@Elmo are you keeping the skull plate? any pics of that wacky base?Biggest bodied "spike" I've seen and processed. I'm sure there's more to this buck's life story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yea, not often do I see broken bucks in our area but did see one last year. 6pt on 12/1, but on 12/3 one side was definitely broken.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Elmo
Yea, that's what I was saying too.@Elmo are you keeping the skull plate? any pics of that wacky base?Unfortunately, neck and head were given away and this morning was trash day. If I had realized there was more to this story at the time I might have kept the skull or at least taken some pictures.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dbHunterNY
Way to go Elmo! sure shot was a little high like you said but good enough to get it done and that's a far poke for many bowhunters. Crazy how sometimes things unfold that quick right? Wait until next sit when you're waiting for the first deer to come in! Congrats!

Lawdwaz
Finnaly we get to see a picture of shawnu. Good job guys, really glad you guys butchered it yourself, not sure of either one of yours experience in butchering but as far as I'm concerned, you really can't mess it up.
