Awesome! Congrats to him. Pretty darn tall for 13 if i might add.

Hear that all the time! I am 6'1" and he's now got an inch and a half on me, and goes around 195lbs. This will be his first year playing football. He's been running miles and working in the weight room all summer. I work with the high school, varsity head coach, and after seeing him at workouts and drills, he is already talking about him playing at the varsity level early. In a class AAA program. Told him, lets just get through eighth grade first! He lives to play sports and works so hard at improving his skills. Keeps an A- average in school work. And is my right hand, literally, since my shoulder surgery. We have done everything to encourage his baseball passion, with camps and one on one, from some D 1 collage players and coaches. We are NOT even thinking ahead to college or pro's!!! Just feeding his passion and keeping him focused, hoping to keep him on the right path to becoming a successful and good young man. And just having fun, doing something he loves to do! He's been tagging along with me in the woods, almost since he could walk. And even with size 15 boots, he is amazingly quiet in the woods. He can shoot a rifle and bow pretty darned good too. His love for hunting is right up there with sports. And as his grampy, I just look forward to being there, when he gets his first deer.

Wow 6'1 in the 8th grade. I'm 21 and 5'10 lol. Sounds like he has a very bright future ahead of him! Let's hope he can keep his focus on sports and not on girls come high school.

I'm 6'1" He is 6' 2 and a half.  Crazy.....His pediatrician just smiles and shakes his head when he comes in.  And has given up trying to predict how much more he will grow. Just says " he will round out to be a big boy".  lol...

Don't think the doc is used to having to look up to his patient!
