Do they still do that? I always looked through the lost and found in high school and took a book if I had that class,then I would have a duplicate to leave at home and reduce the amount of books I carried home. I must have looked so cool,not bringing books home ever.

My kids don't have as many books, I think that is slowly going away. But the few they do are freaking huge. Kill yourself carrying a couple of them lol. I did do the old paper bag on a few of them!!

My daughter is in middle school. The books are huge and heavy. However, most of her homework is done on an iPad.

Yes but they were NEVER that plain...lol...hhhmmm yep caught doodling on my book covers during class many a time...

I remember doing that when i was in elementary. It'll slowly fade as everything becomes electronic

Hmmfff. You should have lugged the chiseled stone tablets we had, uphill both ways to school! Covers not needed. Now that's old school!...hehehe.

They now have these stretchy book socks things because folding and taping paper is way too challenging - not sure if that’s for the parents or the kids but too challenging nonetheless. Book socks are also recyclable and can be reused every year (but they are not!) so that’s great for the planet (as they dump thousands of plastic bottles in thrash because tap water is yucky?)
Please don’t post school-related items on a Friday- after a week of MS kids I sound like I hate all things kids. Ask me this question after a full day sit tomorrow and I may not be so cynical
