Robhuntandfish
im sure a few on here use tower stands. How do you anchor them? I have seen three blown over in fields in the last couple of weeks. That would scare the crap outa me. i dont plan on using any as they just dont fit how and where i hunt. But i have seen so many recently blown over onto their sides was just curious and cant believe people dont anchor them.
Core
I can believe it. I've seen people not secure furniture, trampoline, etc.
moog5050
Mine are so heavy I can’t see them blowing over. Already withstood 70mph winds with no damage. One has L brackets screwed to feet with rebar driven in. But the angled out feet make them very secure. Using escalator brackets is key. I didn’t secure the second and it did fine in the same storm. NYBowhunter
I drive stakes into the ground then anchor that to the stand using several ratchet straps.
Rack Attack
Put one screw anchor into the ground in the middle of the blind with a cable down to it.
turkeyfeathers
Keep in mind a coyote can pump out a 18 " rebar stake when caught in a leghold. 24 " in looser soil High winds and I'd think those box blinds tip over pretty easily
land 1
angled out legs help some cement around those legs and anchored with cables mines not going anywhere

WNYBuckHunter
I just picked up a Redneck 15' tower stand. It comes with rebar spikes for each leg, and a large auger that screws into the ground 2 feet. Once you turn the auger in, theres a steel cable that goes from the platform to that, which anchors it. amerritt6993
Get long stakes and stake them in at an angle. Drive the steaks towards the enter of the stand. This will make it so that the steaks will not just slide out. The steeper the angle of the steaks and the deeper they go in the better. You can also use cork skews stakes. You can also drive poles in the ground and strap it down as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
These were nice towers, with legs flared out. Wouldn't think they would blow over but they do look top heavy. There are two blown over on my way home from work and saw another yesterday. Saw a TV show with the Drury's where one of theirs blew over.
