WNY, you fail to recognize that the statement that you are defending happens to be patently false.  The man was born in Hawaii, not Kenya.  Therefore, saying that he's from Kenya is false.  Are you so dense that you can't see that?  Or, do you purposely ignore this fact so that you can continue to feel justified in repeating such nonsense?

I glad to see you are not denying the word "socialist" is false.

;D

I never said it was true, just that it was not racist.

So, then what would be the motivation for making such a statement?

Look pal, Im not an idiot, and you arent going to spin this into your favor. You are trying to fabricate something out of nothing, and its not going to work. Man up and admit it or shut your pie hole.

So any false statement is based in racism?

You jumped the gun when you played that card. How about this. Many still feel that there concerns over BO's citizenship were not totally answered. THe route he took in taking so long to produce the documentation only fueled that fire. And just because someone strongly feels that BO's views and the direction he wants to push this country is wrong...and cling to anything that would discredit and invalidate him does not mean it is based in race hatred. It could somply mean they do not agree with his politics...could mean they feel he is a socialist....could mean he has no qualifications to hold the most influential office in the world...could mean a lot of things that are not racist.

motivation...?....how about they just do not like the MAN.....now pardon my french and I do not subscribe to this thought ..I am only using it for illustration.

If the comment had been anything like "spear chucking socialist"...."fried chicken and watermelon eating socialist" I would be right behind you in line for the public flogging....but it wasn't even close

My issue was never with the word 'socialist'- that's a matter of opinion and perception.  The other is not, it's racist.  Don't get me wrong, I think calling him socialist is silly also.  But, I know it's important for you guys to have these kinds of words to throw around to scare up support.

No, any intentionally false statement regarding a person's origin, specifically to highlight his ancestry- when no other similar reference or accusation has ever been made about a person of a lighter shade, is racist.  You might find yourself to be clever.  You're not.

Ahhhhh, I get it now. You are trying to say that a white guy cant mention a black man's ancestry without being racist. I got ya. You are just so full of shit, you actually think you are making sense, when in reality you just sound like the idiot that you are.  ;D

For the most part i find myself.....rational, something that you are not

For the most part I can admit when I am wrong, something you can not.

the questions about counrty of birth may have never come up before because the past presidents have disclosed the information either prior to or in a timely fashion. He could have avoided it but chose not to. it is a requiremnt to hold the office. Kind of like you providing a birth certificate to get your first drivers license. Every president has had controvery brought up by the opposite side to cast doubt on them. That is not new. Your assertion that it is his skin color that makes this happen to him does lead me to a conclusion about your charater though. I see you as much more of a racist that the person that made the Kenya comment.

and just one more racist comment for you....I am an Irish American redneck conservative.

and you are a tool

Culver, I'm about as interested in your opinions of me as I am in your opinion on anything else.  But, it is funny to see you trying to come up with intelligent responses- don't hurt yourself.  As far as you being a conservative redneck, I think we all had figured that out for ourselves.

We have learned to use the racism term for all kinds of self-serving purposes. Apparently one of those purposes now is to deflect discussions that aren't going so well...... :) . Don't like the way a topic is going? ....... inject a charge of racism....lol. Pretty soon everybody will have forgotten what the original discussion was. Hey, it's pretty crude, but look how great it works.

Sorry ..... couldn't help myself. Just had to pass on the observation.

His father was from Kenya.. so I'm sure thats where the Kenyan part came from.. nothing to do with racism... he would have been more correct to have called him the Indonesian Socialist... he live there from age 2-8... I believe. Either way.. it was not a racist statement... only a liberal minded person would pull the race card based on someone using the word Kenya... great spin virgil  ???

Second Amendment: Gun-Grabbers International  The United States is almost unique among nations in that its citizenry generally enjoys the right to keep and bear arms -- the palladium of all liberties. That's a sore subject among international statists, and the United Nations has been working on a treaty designed to limit armaments of all sorts in order to assume greater control of otherwise sovereign nations.

If you look at the document through the prism of American sovereignty, it's clear the UN's Arms Trade Treaty, which has the support of Barack Obama, has a number of drawbacks (The Heritage Foundation has them outlined. Because of that, it also now has a bipartisan group of 57 senators (45 Republicans along with a dozen Democrats) opposed to it in its present form -- in particular, its "wide-ranging and unrealistic scope." It also violates the Second Amendment. But since when has the UN cared about our Constitution? For that matter, when was the last time Democrats cared about our Constitution?

More important, that group of 57 senators -- one for each state, if you count like Barack Obama -- is more than enough to deny adoption of the Arms Trade Treaty unless significant changes are made in the final product, which is due in 2012. With that sort of political timing, the chances of the Arms Trade Treaty being enacted are between slim and none. Just keep a wary eye on the executive branch, because with Obama as a proponent, other avenues are possible.

More controversy...

you be the judge...

As for me - I am an Appalachian Mountain Conservative Christian White that does NOT APPROVE of everything happening in our country today (does that make me a racist?) Gee... I sure hope not ('cuz I didn't approve of a lot of what was going on a long time before that). I've seen 12 presidents (so far).
