turkeyfeathers
I've had venison bacon and bear bacon from that same guy. Gman gave me some of both. the bear is more like traditional bacon as bear has more fat. The deer bacon was still excellent though put a pic up on the dinner thread when you cook it up Edited October 27, 2019 by turkeyfeathers
Robhuntandfish
@G-Man always talks about it Dunno where he gets his from. I have looked up how to make it as something I want to try. It's actually like making a ground smoked loaf and cutting it into bacon strips. At least that's what I saw online. Let us know how it is. Five Seasons
i should probably look this up before posting, but isn't bacon just the place on the pig where it comes from, and i think it's the belly? How does one get bacon from a deer?

How does one get bacon from a deer? doesn't have to be. typically from pork belly though. deer cuts are a lot smaller but there's thin cuts in a lot of places on a deer that you could use and cure/smoke the same way i'd think despite i've never done bacon.
