went to lowes on sunday. First day I left the house in a while but I needed a few things for some projects that are helping me keep my sanity. I was amazed to see a few families there, including 1 that brought their dog.

Like, the whole idea for lowes being open is in case something breaks and you need to fix it, not for a leisurely family trip you f'n idiots. We're all in this shit together and you're not helping!

While I agree with this statement I would also recommend not going on websites such as this from a work comp in the first place. No reason it can't be accessed from your phone

I agree 100%...   I think people need to think in terms of younger people and woman using this site.

Mods must be busy with life like most people should be.  I agree with you not cause of work so much but also cause its too much, its not a porn site.  Uneeded.  Before all this hand slaps wouldve been out.  Also kids can access the site.  Obviously some of them already do.

define necessities? If I'm installing some new outdoor security lights so I can protect against intruders and also so I have a project that allows me not to murder my family? Seems pretty necessary to me. Plus i wore gloves.

 

oh and i bought some vegetable seeds, I consider food pretty essential

I took my daughter to pediatrician today for 2-month checkup and vaccine shots. Most had masks on. My wife and I did not. I’m going grocery shopping later and will report back on crowds/food supplies

the government has clearly stated if you're going shopping for things you need, you shouldn't be taking your whole family with you. That if at all possible, go by yourself and go quickly. 

The fact that someone thought they would pack up their teen daughter and their dog and go browse the new grills (that's where they were), tells me they aren't really understanding the whole social distancing thing. The fact that there are lines we need to wait behind etc.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. But that's the point. Stay home. Need to go out? Do it quick and by yourself.

This virus is 3x more communicable than the flu, and let's face it the bulk of society has gotten out of washing hands and some pretty basic hygiene activities. I work in a public office and the number of people that exit bathrooms and simply DO NOT wash their hands is staggering on any given day, long before this pandemic.

I look at it this way if we all stop public trips, stay isolated from each other and simply wash hands this virus CAN'T SPREAD and will burn itself out like a forest fire with no fuel.

It sucks being home, isolation, bills and uncertainty but we can stay away from others and be back to normal as soon as possible. 

If one has to go out, do so responsibly, if not stay the hell home and watch Netflix or tie fishing flies. 

Think of it this way: I have the virus and I don't want to spread it, or you have the virus and I don't want to get it!!!
