He also said there is a problem in NY with box turtles and the pet trade, people often release non-native box turtles into the wild. Yeah also alot of people take them from the wild. It was a nice find and great pictures of her . Then she was on her way.

We were south of 109 in that scumline. Lots of shorts. Dropped some good ones at the boat. Jigging raps mostly. Then it got a little too choppy. I struggled one day last week for 2 hours then found em and had a limit in 10 minutes. There ought to be schools starting in the channel soon if not already. It def got a bit rough out there. We havent gotten a lot of big ones but have been doing ok on 15-18" . Have only gotten one or two 20+ so far this year. We did best out front of verona beach near the canal by 107 so we werent too far away, but never know just need to find an active school. 2 Other boats around us had the nets out too. Just happened to try that first after the waves pounded the east end all night. Edited June 8, 2020 by Robhuntandfish
squirrelwhisperer
Tomorrow looks like a real good day. Gonna try to get little squirrel on some fish for his new rod. Fluke all over the bay, although mostly shorts. Bass and blues around the inlet. Might even get outside! Pygmy
I like them that way too, but unfortunately, I'm the only one who likes them that way, unless my Phillipino daughter-in law happens to be around... Also, when doing numbers, the filet knife wins out...Today 3 of us filleted 65 slab sunfish/gills in 50 minutes, including clean up.. They filets also take up MUCH less room in the freezer...
