nyantler
rumor is that it scored in the 190's as a non-typical.. I'm not really seeing that... but maybe those are some big drops... will probably score higher if it comes in as option B.. we'll have to see. Great buck no matter what! WNY Bowhunter
I'd rule in favor of a mainframe 3 X 4 with 5 abnormals but it sure is a tough call. Why would anyone shoot a deer that would be so hard to score anyways...lol???!!!
Doewhacker
One thing is for sure, with all of those extra drops it should have been easier to grab a hold of to drag out!.

DAM092678
The buck is legit. Just look at the current issue of outdoor news. This buck is on the front page. I've seen it in person. My brother is the one that shot and killed it.

erussell
Oh geez here we go, a story is going to come out how he shot it off a ski lift with a crossbow during bow season less than 500 ft from a building over a salt block 1 minute after sundown. Dang that is a sweet deer, love all drops. Makes you wonder how he made it throught the woods?

erussell
Here it is. Canale tagged an 18-point, double-drop tine buck with a gross nontypical score of 203 inches on a farm only a few miles from his home. The buck, which had impressive 26-inch main beams and a spread just over 23.5 inches, is likely to be one of - if not the - largest bucks taken in New York Further inspection may have explained why Canale had such a hard time seeing the buck while hunting. The buck was estimated at 7.5- to 8.5-years-old, which is extremely old for a wild whitetail buck in New York, and lessons learned from past hunting seasons may have kept it alive. http://outdoornews.c...1871e3ce6c.html Edited March 6, 2012 by erussell
sampotter
Erussel- the buck in that article is not the same one at the beginning of the thread. The Canale one was shot in the Geneva area.
