Arrow "Wraps"?

I saw a few minutes of a hunting show tonight with Lee Lakosky in a blind (no kidding?) while hunting deer.  I saw how he had those white "wraps" mid shaft and I'm interested in them.

Anybody have an idea on what they are and where to source them?

You can also get them off ebay. Search "arrow wraps" and you'll have a ton to choose from.

I put reflective orange or yellow wraps on all my arrows, SO much easier to find. Use a flashlight and they stick out like a highway sign with high beams.

Heres some plane white from eBay. I bought the Bohning full length  wraps for my arrows from amazon some time ago. They sell the shorter wraps for the blazer vanes that I use , but I wanted lots of white on the shafts.

I hate arrow wraps couldn't get them to my liking. Will never use them ever again

As in putting them on correctly, they way they look or did they change arrow flight?

I’m looking for (as mentioned above) a mid shaft type wrap.  I rather not zip my fletching off, apply these then re-fletch.  
 

I’m thinking some white ones for before the snow flies and orange for snowy conditions.  These you guys have shown links to are ok??

Just getting them to no curl or overlap. Just not worth the headaches. On top of getting the vanes to stick properly. Just not worth the effort IMHO

Well you can apply the wraps on any portion of the arrow shaft.

It helps when applying to use the underside of a mouse pad and roll the shaft onto the wrap. 

As for curl, Jerkman did you try different wrap thicknesses?

I only tried one version just the standard size wraps

I had some broken shafts and some time, so I ordered a bunch of different ones off ebay. I *think* the ones that worked best on my 350 & 400 arrows were 2mil if that helps.

the arrows i get always come with wraps.  Never had any problems with them .   Helps to see blood color

They're allowed to over lap ,clean the arrow with alcohol and roll the arrow over the wrap ,i've never had one come off.

You can actually add some spine to an arrow by putting a wrap mid shaft . I don't have any idea why the deer farmer was using them mid shaft though.

ive thought about doing that just to be able to see blood better.

Check out the link above “Bloodsport” then look at their “Blood Ring” arrows.   The wraps apparently change colors to show where you hit your deer.   Or didn’t......

ive thought about doing that just to be able to see blood better.    

I also like the idea of the reflective tape for easier arrow recovery

They make florescent white and orange too. I combine mine with chartreuse and the florescent. You can see them really good.

Three rivers archery is my go to.

Like the Blood sport arrows. They are to see blood and penetration depth usually if your arrow snaps. I was thinking of doing the same at some point. Also helps with color checking blood and such on marginal hits. I believe

Don’t laugh, but I use hot pink, a color which will stick out in the leaves etc, it has helped find arrow. A guy I met in the archery shop had them on his, you can get from Lancaster

The ones from 3 rivers could be applied under your fetching. They are just a big sticker.

At first I thought these changed color based on blood type, like liveer gave you a different color than lung or muscle. That could be our million dollar idea lol

Try the BLT wrap, or Chicken Caesar salad wraps .Arrow wraps would be to hard on my teeth and Hell coming out .
