Splitear
I'm looking to replace the tires on my Outback, which have a stock size of 225/60/17, and have found a deal on a set of 225/65/17. Would anyone know if this size change would effect much other than speedo/odometer?
silent death
Na it wont change anything as far as speedo wise that would only happen if u went to a 18 inch size tire or bigger than a 225....so you are good because you are only changing the tires width Edited March 24, 2021 by silent death
left field
All questions answered: https://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/wheels-tires-brakes-suspension.81/ But, you're fine. I'm replacing my OEM tires on my OB this year because they are pretty much garbage. I have 18" wheels and will probably drop down to 17" and a beefier tire. I put Falken Wildpeaks on my truck and quite like them.

Nomad
You also need to consider the weight of the tires , going from the stock tire which sucks, ( I have an ‘18 outback ) to a same size but heavier tire ,like an AT tire come at a cost . I went with Goodyear All weather Assurance btw . Here’s a fun piece on “ modified “ Subarus , and a bit on heavier tires . https://www.outsideonline.com/2405421/how-to-modify-crossover-vehicle-off-road#close
