  3. Hit the loading bench and turned out 100 rounds of 10mm 180 gr HP Hornady XTPs using Unique powder, the load should be producing around 1100 fps out of the Girsan's 6 inch barrel. Put a Valkyrie compensator-muzzlebrake on, if nothing else it looks cool. Hope to hit the range sometime this week and see how she shoots. Al

  7. I bought a Glock 40 last year, it wasn't easy to find with 10rd mags though. I like it so far, I bought it for deer hunting and of course the day I left it in the truck because it was really cold and windy is the day a doe came by at 20 yds. Next year I hope to use it more. 9. Got the same as Fast Eddie. 5,10,15&20. A few years after I got the 20, they stopped sending me the surveys. Don't know if they have a 25 patch?

  11. I agree! Great to hear! Me too. Like you; my life will go on either way. But after so many years, I was thinking it would be a bit of a let down if just went lights out all of a sudden. With those remaining here; there seems to be a level of mutual respect, and I enjoy reading the posts and hearing what you fellow members are up to, or have on your minds. I was hoping it, you all, would still be around. Thanks for the update.

  13. As long as members keep posting on this site , it will remain . It has slowed down quite a bit and if you notice , no arguing . The sky isn't falling !

  14. As the old Mark Twain saying goes "this site's demise has been greatly exaggerated." I believe it was nothing but a big fat lie, one blowhard dissenter found the annual renewal date of this site for the payment to the hosting company and twisted it as the Mayan doomsday date of this site, his and a few others wishful thinking. The owner of this site has paid his hosting site for the last dozen years it has been up on the internet and I have seen no evidence that he is not going to pay it again this year. As for the chance the site may someday shutdown sure it can happen and if it does so be it, I got along just fine before joining and will continue to do so if the site is here or not here. Personally right now I think this site's content is the best it has ever been. Al

  15. These Toms have made their annual Roost shift over to our property now, our small 12 acres. They roost up on the ridge we have. They come and roost seldom before Mid May. But fairly regularly once Mid May hits.. They' toms usually stay and at least be vocal into Early Mid June.. We also have 3/4 acres of Clovers in our plot that they'll feast in once the sun hits them. Any who after successfully roosting a bird on our lease, we got back to camp at last light and a bird gobbled to the slam of the truck door.. letting us know he was up on our ridge, Roosted was Roasted.. Bird pitched down, and met his demise a few moments later.. My brother in Law tagged his first ever Longbeard by 545am

  16. As most know, I'm not one that has to pull the trigger every year, if I can put someone else behind the gun I will.. I just want to be part of it.. I called in another bird for my brother and he was tagged out opening week.

  18. Success on the North farm this morning. Let a buddy take his son out for his first. And he got one that will be tough to beat. Perfection!
