My son scored on a big wide 6 pt with 10 minutes of shooting time left. He only uses a compound bow and made a perfect double lung shot. We waited an hour and only had to follow the blood trail about 45 yds to make the recovery. And of course old Dad had to help drag him out lol.

One of my favorite firearms was a Remington 1100 20 ga bought new back in the late sixties for $146.00, I killed a pile of small game with that shotgun along with several Deer. Traded it for a new model 51 Ithaca Deerslayer autoloader in 12 ga. One of the best firearms ever made I think and I would say the selling price these days for a used 1100 20 ga would be in the one thousand dollar range give or take a few bucks depending on condition. A 12 ga would bring in substantially less. Special editions can bring in a few more bucks. Al

Went out this am watch a doe and fawn graze from 6:30-7:30, once they left I rattled, on the second sequence a 1.5 5pt came sprinting into 25 yards. This evening made some venison sausage with Pasquale’s seasoning.

I hadn't shot my X-bow before going hunting Saturday . I forgot how much effort it taks to cock it . I panicked and was beginning to think I couldn't do it when I was setting up in the dark but I got 'r done .

Well we didn't miss today!! Nephew shot a great 10 pt at 7:27! This morning.

We ripped around the whole PA property on the side by side and vacuumed out the blinds for gun season. Left pa at 3 pm, apparently this guy didn’t care. Ill be out in Ny tomorrow morning. Got a family lined up to take the next deer I get. By the way, their killing that rope “mock” scrape I made.

So I have a Remington 1100 Lt 20 and a 1187 20 with vent rib barrel and rifled barrel .. Looks like they are bringing over 1000.00

Back when deer hunters were plentiful , the woods were full of scent wicks with Tinks on them . No doubt it got to the point where the deer ignored it .

Hello, what's your favorite cell camera these days? I'm looking to upgrade to cell cameras. I'm currently still running Covert MP8 Black's on my property. Still work well just looking for cell cams. Thanks

If you are in a ground blind , are your legs going to be visible from outside the blind ? If not , wear a black or camo top over the coveralls .

Headed up in a few minutes. Have not looked out the door to see what the weather is yet, but for the first time since Friday I don’t hear the wind chimes on our side porch. I did hear the town’s fire whistle going off this morning, and I always worry when I hear that sound. Especially after my ordeal 2 years ago this time of year almost to the day.
