  1. Whatever you say Grow. You sure told me! How long have you been waiting to call me out since our last little run in, where I dared question you? Are you aware that (unless I'm a real idiot) most of us usually have no clue what you're talking about? How many times have people asked for a translation of your posts? I can think of at least a couple. You seem to be the most passive aggressive, babbling, & narcissistic person here. It seems like it's very difficult for you to string together any coherent thought, long enough to make a post that doesn't read like you just dropped acid. In your little world, no one is ever as smart or ethical as you. Nobody respects you or your property. It's a miracle theres a deer left in 8N, seeing how rampant poaching is. You live in a warzone full of criminals & rednecks. It's a miracle you've survived this long, if your posts are any indicator.Ridiculous. But, being the kind people that they are, most on here humor you. Perhaps out of that respect for our seniors that you hinted to recently. A member said recently that you must stand in your yard looking for things to get pist about. I think he was 100% correct. I'm pretty sure jmg doesn't give a damn about your opinion of him. He probably sits there chuckling after getting a rise out of you. Ok, this is the end of my post, so should I use a couple really stupid emoticons like you're so fond of? To drive home the awesomeness and relevance of my post?
  2. Paula seems to be the only one man enough to apologize for being in the wrong here. Props to her, but sad for others. Maybe some of their posts will disappear, I've noticed it's happened before. Seemingly after you'd think the option to edit had expired.
  3. Cut yourself a little slack Buddy. I've read a lot of your posts, & you seem like you're pretty squared away. You're doing the best you can to recover him. Everyone has a day (or season) where nothing goes right. Chin up!

Classy move Paula. I'm pretty used to eating crow myself!
  5. That's fine, maybe where you are, numbers are up. I can guarantee you that in my area, numbers are down. The fall flock I see around my place is small this year. There's little sign. The birds on camera are fewer than normal. Fall hunting is not, & will not be allowed on my property. Period. I won't be killing 2 birds a year anytime soon, even if given the chance. I've got a self imposed 1 bird limit on the property, & I hope my son kills it. We also kill every predator we see (in season of course...)
  6. I found a spot over the back of our hill. It's several hundred very steep feet down to the valley below. Our hill gets a lot of pressure, as does the valley below & the next hill beyond it. I'm hoping the deer try to use the side hill for cover. It's very thick and brushy. I'll be overlooking 3 old logging roads that meet about 40 yards in front of me. It's just above a little bowl in the hill. I've got about a 60yds max shot. Can't wait.
  7. First crossbow deer! On the backside of our hill at camp. 20 yards, double lung.
  8. Happy birthday! 44 is a good #. Still young enough that you can realistically say you're middle aged!
  9. Whaaaaaaaaaaat? A great majority of your posts leave me with my head cocked, like a dog who hears a strange noise. I'm out. Like Wingnut said, enough side banter.
  10. Growie, I'm well aware of the benefits of studying old people. I have quite the collection of them myself. I value experience, which often happens to accompany age. I'm just not of the opinion that someone's good fortune to live many moons, necessarily gives them any more intelligence, or valid insight on life.
  11. LoL. You've got no idea what things from someone's past might have been eating at them. I'm not condoning breaking game laws, but shooting a deer 5 minutes late wouldn't be something I focused on and lamented in my later years. Personal reflection isn't a matter of age, sorry. Regretting poor choices isn't just for our elders either, it's a matter of having an inner moral compass, I'm sorry if yours took until later in life to develop. I go to my treestand happy, & at peace with my past, wearing that same grin.
  12. That's deep. You are certainly the oldest stoner I know.
  13. I saw the NYSAFE act mentioned. Speaking of that, I wonder how many of the people preaching on this thread, are included in the over 95% of NY "assault weapon" owners, who failed to register their firearms under the law. Just wondering. I don't expect anyone to speak up, but I'd bet my next paycheck there's more than one.
  14. Yes, but in that instance, more power to you!
  15. If an arrow flies after sunset, but there's no warden around to see it, is it illegal?
  16. I don't pay attention, put my bow down, & take out a sandwich. Then presto, there they are at 20yds.
  17. Not a Marine, but Happy birthday! Thanks for your service!
  18. Well, I'm thinking Elmo is a goner.
  19. Well played Sir. I've got nothing! You can't come back from that.
  20. Awesome! That's a HUGE deal.
