I am looking at a 338 marlin the problem with it. is hard to find ammo.

I usually hunt all day I may change stands or I may not. So here is what I bring for food. DRINKS: water and gator-aid FOOD: turkey or ham sandwich, granola bars and a snickers. I also bring a 5hr energy in case I start to fall a sleep. I hate having that dream about falling off the cliff and waking up finding myself hanging from my safety harness 15ft off the ground. I don't eat my lunch where I hunt I move over by your stand to eat my lunch. So if you find a gator-aid bottle and a snickers wrapper by your stand you'll know I was there.

If you are on a budget and can only get 1 gun I would go with a pump 12ga shot gun, with 2 barrel 1 for big game an 1 for small game.

i shoot a marlin 444 and love it, using 265gr flat point. i reload them and 300gr xtp'si think the 265fp is the best bullet in the 444

What make you think you can shoot 60yd's at a 9” target with a hunting head with only 3 weeks before the season. Try 20 or 30 yards first I'm willing to bet you haven't shot more then 50 arrows in the last year.

I watch very few hunting shows. One I do watch is deer & deer hunting. I just got tiered of all fist pumping when some of them shoot a deer or I going to let this 150 class buck walk because he to small and then they shoot a 130 so they can get something for the camera. If you wouldn't shoot it on the first day then don't shoot it on the last. They don't care about the animal most of them are in it for the money.

Baiting is illegal in this state end of discussion if you do it your a poacher. Food plots are not habitat improvement. If you took money you spent on food plots and bought blight resistance chestnut trees that would be habitat improvement. Yes you can carry a gun at night. See hunting reg's.

The 454 wouldn't be bad you can shoot 45long colts out of it. The 44mag wouldn't be bad less recoil then a 454 still more then good enough for deer and black bear. I shoot a 44mag s&w 629dx 83/8. Seeing I don't have to shoot it or pay for it I would go with a 460 s&w with a 8in ported barrel then you can shoot 260swmags 454's and 45 long colts.

both loose and cobs the loose was piled the cobs were spread out deer don't usually take the cobs with them. They usually eat the top ¼ and leave the cob on the stalk. Now raccoons will take the cob.

I was hunting Letchworth in a spot I hadn't hunted in over 20 years. Not only did I find a permitted stand I found corn under it. I called the DEC and had the officer meet me at the road, I showed the officer where the stand was I don't know if they caught anyone or not. But I didn't know the stand was there till I found it and I was hunting less then 50yds from it I could have been arrested for hunting over bait. Because of some scum bag.

It's ok to plant it just don't pile it. You can plant what you want to bring deer in for a shot. the only difference I see in food plots over baiting is it cost more.

you should always sight in off a rest then shoot standing

Here how it works if you just buy a bow or just a ML tag you will get a ether sex tag if you buy both a bow and ML tags 1 will be a ether sex tag and the other will be a doe only tag. Now if you are going to use a cross-bow you will get a ether sex ML tag but if you also get a bow tag 1 will be a doe only tag (when I say doe only the real term is antler-less tag) remember you need the bow hunters course to get a bow tag confused yet. I have no clue what happens if you want a cross-bow and a ML tag I assume you will get 1 ether sex and 1 doe tag but not sure about it.

Ihave both my doe tags are the new camo and all my other tags are yellow.
