My house is oil how water baseboard but we installed a woodstove in the basement . I would have gone with a pellet stove but we lose power now and again and so I didnt want to relie(sp) on electric for heat-auger- ! When I do burn the HW boiler never comes on and the house - 1400 sg ft.- stays at roughly 72 degrees . We burn somewhere between 4-5 cords per year , last year we paid $200.00 per cord . I found a small fan that is made to sit on the top of the woodstove and when it gets hot it starts to blow the air around the basement using no electricity !

If I was a bow hunter I dont think I would hesitate on taking the shot , but thats me !

I constantly hold back on the urge to twist their neck so the hat fits properly ....LOL

I've always hunted from a stand with my rifle , if for no other reason too get my scent up there and I believe I see more deer that way .

Congrats ... now thats a perfect example of getting future generations of hunters involved !

Welcome Aboard the Board LOL ! I joined this board last year and find it a really good experience ! You'll get a lot of good advice from very experienced Hunters . Various war stories (hunting) break out now and again but all in good nature !

To hell with giving him a Medal , Invite him over for a nice Venison Dinner and buy him more Ammo ... apparently he know what its for and how to use it !

Last year was a good year for myself and my son .. we nailed three ! We've been busy BBQ'ing alot over the summer and still have about 30 lbs. left . We've been putting alot in the crock pot with sauercraut(spelling?) prior to going to work everyday and enjoy when we get home . Have made and frozen a few meatloaves and a bunch of meatballs !

Time afield is the key I believe to knowing whats in your area ! I spend enough time looking for Scrapes/Rubs/Tracks to know if what I'm after is actually there .
