  1. On the bright side, he's cruising during the day. Get back out there, but I would want to cry if that was me.
  2. Minor setback, get well now and have a long and prosperous future. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are back in the woods soon !
  3. Would love to go since I'm right down the road, but would rather spend the time hunting. Hopefully they have someone recording/ taking notes for interested individuals to follow up on. Perhaps, NYON (NY Outdoor News) could get some feedback and have an article for it's subscribers about what was discussed.
  4. Beautiful deer, congrats, Fletch ! is it the same 8 who made the scrapes you mentioned in the 10/25 post? If not, at least you have an opportunity at that one also. Enjoy the rest of the season!
  5. Take the day off and get out there ! Enjoy, and many more birhtdays to you
  6. I got a pair last year used them a few times (2-3) and I',m happy. Never got a chance to wear them for an all day day deer sit, but wore them on a 4 hour duck hunt in the freezing cold rain/sleet etc. I was very happy with them, my friend was ready to pack it in and I was happy and comfortable because my feet were warm, he left and I stayed and shot 2 more ducks !
  7. use the ones intended for your back, Just make sure non-scented, def help. Put on lower back near or on kidneys, they move blood around, hence may warm it a bit

  10. Something else I recently tried was the heat pads that you wrap around your body. You can buy them in CVS or any other similar store. I put one on my lower bac/kidney area, and another on my chest, close to my heart Give them a try... Also any of the other tricks mentioned.
  11. Spahhetti and meatballs, with garlic bread and salad, and some red wine. Just let me know what time to be there!

  16. The harness I have been using for the past few years is the one that you get in the box when you buy a treestand, I'm looking to get a new one ,I saw and tried on a "muddy" last nite. Only thing I did not like was the plastic chest buckle ( did not look sturdy). Anyone have a harness they like and would recommend? Or have experience with Muddy product and would recommend that one Thank you in advance

  19. Great idea, get them off the x-box, facebook, etc The only thing that seems odd to me is where it says "must hold or have held a valid adult license" IMO- the adult mentor should be a current license holder,..., if they are not a current licensee they may not be up on all curent laws/regs.
  20. this little one is pretty active bambi.AVI
