Smoked Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Backstrap
Culvercreek hunt club replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
most times when smoking like this you utilize the water pan in the smoker. Even when meat is more well done in a smoker with a water bath it is still very juicy. -
What section makes you think this? As far as I know personal sales are fine and that includes shipping.

Actually I was just wondering because o was trying to figure out if it was a choice and management decision or if you were someplace like up north where it was not legal and being illegal is why you would boot them. Was that why you thought I was asking?

Shooting does early - 2 schools of thought
Culvercreek hunt club replied to vincy's topic in Deer Hunting
Those does don't live in a vacuum either. They get wised up with the more pressure from hunters and bucks. They get skittish and I believe if you get the opportunity early, take it. -
I always use sausage with ground in my chili. it can be used however you would use ground beef. Meatballs are another great option.

I am not down on practice by any means. To the contrary, I am in favor of a lot of it. My response is in the frame of being IN the season and shooting so much that they begin to pull the shots low. Practicing poor form or becoming accustom to having follow up shots to get it right is what I am not a fan of. Develop a regime of getting that fist and only shot spot on. full concentration and focus and, ideally, vary the distances inside your effective range.

I only use one pin. When I did shoot more I used index marks to assure nothing moved. I would hope at this point it is a confidence shot we are talking about.

why? if his form is good at 40 and the equipment is functioning well at 40, what would 15 and 20 tell him?

Welcome. I am confused. you say "I have one deer, one bear and then muzzle / bow (either sex)." I assume you ONLY purchased the hunting and the bow license. Then you say "The tag for bow hunting shows a buck on the top left. Does that mean I can't get a doe or can I get either sex?" DO you mean the "regular season" (gun) tag? because in the next sentence you talk about the Muzz/bow tag saying either sex Can you recheck and clarify?

Starting at about mid September and at this point of the year, my practice sessions are one arrow. Odds are that is all we are going to get .

Didn't seem like he was questioning the rule. If you read it he asks who else has a rule like that.

So if we reduce everyone in the state down to one tag and allow only one deer we can get a better handle on poaching? What we need it stiff but fair fines. we need DEC to get funding from the fines to encourage their enforcement and help fund even more officers. But I do agree with WNY. Poaching, in the grand scheme of things is not all that significant. it really is like gun crime. You are never going to stop it if someone is set on doing it. I am wondering though. Your friend that you are so sure that he and sons take illegal deer, ever turn him in?

issuing a lot of permits encourages poaching? I would think it would be opposite. Easy to get a tag so use it? no?

Basically we have one rule. No farting in the bunk room.

Culvercreek hunt club replied to NonTypical's topic in Region 1

If they report honestly I am betting they don't get the take they had previously before they got this brainfart. ....I mean brainstorm.
