    Just me and Zach this weekend. Hope he connects with a deer. He has hit the books hard this semester and it would be real nice for him. We have about 6 inches of snow.

    Funny you say that Steve but when we head out for Jan gun season a lot of shed bucks get shot. Maybe certain areas they hold them longer, don't know.

    From what they tell me a lot of 3 legged deer going around this year (had a big one on 3 legs right under my stand opening morning, gun wouldn't shoot)

    I would think you will be able to bow hunt on weekends only. Gun hunting during the month of Jan during the week.

    My place is in 8P and there are plenty of bucks around. Each year I get a shot at a real mature deer. (I don't connect all the time though) I have a camp right next to me where most of the 11 hunters come from out of state. They will shoot any buck out there. I don't have a problem with that and they enjoy the meat!

    Those guys that call it quits at 1/2 before sunset are afraid of the dark. Just an easy excuse to get out of the woods before who knows starts stalking them! lol Seriously I have no problem shooting before or after those exact times. I have never looked at my watch to call it quits. I also drive no more than 5-7 miles over the speed limit on the way to camp. Seems the troopers let you slide if your within that range

    It was ok. We took 2 deer should of taken 4. Things happen. Still have next weekend to fill tags. Good luck.

    Good night sleep and give them hell tomorrow! good luck! I have Zach headed to camp with me next weekend! His plane lands at 4:00 Friday by 6:00 he is in the truck on the way to camp!!

    Truck temp at 200 place on intake manifold for a minute each side. Season with salt and pepper packets you find on the floorboard. Could be served with a few fries that you may find under the seat and enjoy! Saves a trip to the kitchen!!

    This has been in the original plastic case that it came in. I also put it in a sealed bag to keep moisture out.

    I have Tripple 7 pellets for about 5 years now. Last time is used it was in the spring of this year and the gun shot fine. Is it crazy to use it or should I go out and get new powder. I probably have 15 pellets left. Thanks, FL

    Last minute change and we are headed up next Friday. Zach flies in that evening from college and meeting me at the cabin. My brother is working on coming also. They will use smoke pole I'll use bow. The deer will be safe with me…lol

    OMG next weekend is late muzzleloader and bow, what to wear, what to wear????? I think camo pants to satisfy my need to be concealed with the bow and a BO vest and hat to keep me visible to smoke pole hunters. That's the ticket! lol Seriously I will, depending who shows up at camp, be giving up my muzzleloader to a younger guy to hunt with. I will hunt with my bow and have a BO vest and hat on.

    Yeah and the most dangerous piece of equipment is the one that has the broken alarm…….but they still use it.
