Not only do deer like Dolgos but they hold their fruit well into December. I planted one in Spring and its doing great, unlike my cherry. Hoping for fruit next year and might try to get another planted before winter.

First, most realtors will give you a free comp on the price. Second, I tried to sell my cabin myself and finally went to a realtor and it was sold in a few months for a better price than the offers I got. BTW the buyer was from Colorado and I never would have gotten his attention without the realtor using mls. Good luck.

Gunbroker. Don't forget seller pays for shipping so ask your ffl what he uses or charges so you can include it in your add. You pay the ffl fee. Good luck.

Congrats. I guess you were both lucky with the weather not cooperating.

Congrats. I'd say you handled it like a pro.

I personally prefer buying smaller parcels than leasing larger but I don't see deer every day so maybe I should be asking you for advice. Aside from that, is your lease in the Adks?

You might want to look into that watershed property for hunting access, I know the reservoirs give free permits but you have to apply. Then you're allowed to hunt and the posted signs don't apply because you have a permit. Just a shot. Congrats and happy hunting to you and your dad.

I bought a low price 870 from Dicks not too long ago and had to send it back because the finish was coming off the barrels, it was a two barrel set. They did a good job on the reblue but not what you expect from a new gun. There has long been reports of failures on the saftey on their bolt actions. I know this doesn't happen to every rifle every time but enough to do a documentary show which included an engineer retired from Rremington who developed a fix to the problem for less than a dollar but Remington did not implement it. I guess due to shipping and labor costs. I have owned pump rifles and both semi auto and pump shotguns and was happy with them except for the last one which they fixed but left a bad taste. My lasst two rifles were Savage and Ruger, so far so good. I have heard Marlin quality was slipping since Remington bought them. This is also sad because I loved Marlin. My first rifle was a Marlin. my first deer fell to a Marlin and I currently own three. I guess I'll just enjoy them and be happy I got them when they were still good.

Sorry, I got it for $45.00 from Sportsman's Guide. Mossy oak camo with rings and the camo matches the stainless steel of the ML better than the blue version. Looking foward to actually getting out this year with it.

Just to report back I got a TC scope 3x9x40mm. I'll let you know how it shoots once I mount it and go to the range. Thanks for all your input.

My brother had a break in n called the police, they caught the lowlife with his stuff. Perp got arrested and bro got his stuff back. Unusually good results but you have to report it. IMO may also help you if you do have to defend yourself in the future. Good luck, sorry to hear of your troubles.

Looking for advice on bear attractants that work and meet legal standards. Want to set up for early bear but will be near an apple orchard so maybe not apple. Thanks for any advice.

Fished my tree stand
hunter replied to ForestWalker's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
If you place it early the deer will get used to it and the noise will keep you awake lol. Good luck it looks good. -
First off, I hate that big brother is in your business so damn deep. Would it be possible to add 2x4s to the bottom of the beams lowering your ceiling but allowing the cheaper insulation? If you want this option make sure the new height will be allowed by the county. Good luck.

Catskills Land - What to look for?
hunter replied to BizCT's topic in Land For Sale, Lease, and Requests
First I would look for land adjoining state, county or other large tract that your food plots could draw from and give you more hunting land free. I would want maintained roads not seasonal or private with electric available as this makes the land more valuable and desirable when you want to sell. I would also pick a size and not reveal my budget cause I/m sure they can find you land especially hunting land for a decent price, the going rate they throw around 3k per acre or 4k usually refers to flat land that can be farmed. Hilly forested land is usually less and usually the good timber has been taken already. When realtors ask me my budget I tell them as little as possible. Good luck to your dad. -
Congrats to Catskill Kid and everyone else who drew tags. Good luck.

Dom, have you checked the auction sites like gunbroker.com. I have found a lot of good ones on there as well as gunsamerica. Good luck.
