  1. Hock3y24 when is the special season you mentioned if I don't get a trade I'll probably just give it to someone. BTW I think you can only take two tags
  2. After ten years of applying I finally got a bull permit for zone two. My friend who lives there and has taken many moose guided me. I rented a house near the entrance gate to The North Woods and we were set. We did see a few moose and I took a small bull with his 7-08 after scope problems with my rifle. Looking back I probably should have went to Canada for a guaranteed tag years ago even if I had to charge it and pay it off. I say this because I was lucky but time is more valuable than money. If anyone is applying to Maine PM me for advice I'd be glad to help. Good luck to all in lottery draws everywhere. PS I posted this hunt in Out of Town thread when I returned it's probably there so I won't repeat it here.
  3. I keep seeing the 2016 one but haven't seen the current one. TY in advance
  4. Congrats on a great rifle. Good luck with it.
  5. Good luck on your permit.
  6. You might be onto something there. I knew one guy who had one and he loved it.
  7. Hi, my name is Hunter and I am a Gunaholic. Or gun hoarder. While I own a good number of guns I can always see the benefit of having another. My pistol collection was getting too big so I decided to sell a few. When looking through my stuff I found three boxes of ammo for one of the intended sale guns. Naturally I thought I might as well go to the range and shoot it and it's little brother too. So I take my CZ 70 in 7.65 or .32 cal to the range and fall back in love. This is basically a clone of the Walther ppk I believe and I'm keeping it. Next up is my .25 Beretta and even though it's a tiny gun it works perfectly and you can carry it when you wouldn't take anything else. Whose crazy idea was it to sell these? Obviously the problem is I need a bigger safe.
  8. Update, I found that Hornady critical defense with the plastic tip works great in the Glock. I would have liked it to work with all ammo but I will keep it for now. I would not carry it and probably wait till I want another gun to see what I can get on a trade. Offers considered.
  9. I can stop and check it when convenient. I think we have to go to local ffl and with my non city address I think we would be good. I'll PM you.
  10. How much for the shotgun and I think he threw out the banana clip after the safe act.
  11. Right but I ended up with the 42 in 380 and trust me I regret it.
  12. Well, I ended up with the 42 Glock in 380 after a bit of hassle with the NY dealer on gunbroker but that will be a different post. Sadly I had several problems trying to get through one box of ammo. Failure to feed extract and one double feed. When I got home I looked on net, which I wish I had done before buying, only to find numerous problems with this pistol. They all were related to the early models and were fixed by Glock. According to info on line my gun is a later version with the updated parts so I will try different ammo and then contact Glock if I have any problems. Glad I still have my S%W 36 and will probably getting rid of this as soon as I get it fixed.
  13. I'm guessing he means 4" diameter and the pipe is not the problem. The excavation and repairing sidewalk and street are the costly part. Good luck.
  14. What Doewhacker said but use a threaded rod or rebar a dig bar works but gently so you don't break anything. As you're probably gonna need it pumped they will find it. Make sure they snake out the over flow line or lines to the leech field or it will work fine till the tank is full and backup again cause the water can't leech back into the soil. I think the county health dept would have the info.
  15. Sure, who is the outfitter and where are they.
  16. I saw an ad for one called Big Mike and I think they came out with an even taller version. Not sure if it will be tall enough but good luck.
