Just beware of adjustable rate loans especially home equity. Had a bad experience and was lucky to refi. Second a small piece can be great, you don't need a big piece. I wish I had more but my five acre lot has good hunting with my neighbors mutual permission I have access to more but the key is my lot backs up to power lines so there is a lot of land that can't be developed and acts like a trail for deer. That would be my best advice to find land with adjacent land that can't be developed even if not open to you a food plot can bring in enough for a couple of guys.

Not in CNY but I did well with Davis Sports in Goshen. This was not fast and did not involve them buying the guns up front. Good luck. BTW if you want someone to buy them all up front they will probably offer less than 50% than they're worth. Just so you know Gunbroker fees are not that steep and the buyer pays shipping you pay the ffl fee which I have paid less than $30 with a different guy near you. You might put the most valuable on here and see if you get a fast deal and meet at the ffl to do the transfer which I think is $10 and I would think the buyer would pay that. I think you can do a 3 day auction on gunbroker and you get the money including shipping before you send the item. You can set this up with a reserve price but if the alternative is being ripped off by a gun store I would not worry.

yeah, I had a similar experience with my Marlin in .41mag. Put a peep sight on and had to switch to a low power scope too. Still haven't taken any game with it but maybe this year. Good luck.

Welcome and good luck. Just a word of advice if you are going to buy a non resident license it would be foolish to skip opening day. I would devote that weekend to NY and then use it as a Sunday substitute. I would even suggest a little scouting before the opener. Also be aware there is no baiting in NY you can set up over an apple tree or an ag field but you can't bring your own. I don't say this to be offensive but I know they allow it in some parts of Pa.
