I dont know. I would think we as hunters would want more numbers. I guess not. Let's make it an elite sport for those who will be able to afford it as the costs go up due to less people buying licenses. I can see where if someone who was thinking about taking up hunting could come here and see all the argments complaining and miracle fixes would say umm no thanks. I admit I am as guilty for doing so as anyone else. If we do not bring in new peope, the sport will go to the wayside. There are way too many groups and organizations who would love to see that and work hard every day to make it happen. I am also aware that in the woods, people do not act the way they do on here, but this is what the public sees, not us in the woods.

I bowl friday nights and spare in a league in Thursday nights. I can seem to bowl without drinking. I enjoy bowling and can say no thanks when they come around to ask if I want a beer.

ty on my team I am second lowest average. However that can hurt when you hve tqo guys with 200 averages and they have a bad night. We get as of last week 31 pins handicap a week. If you arent on, you are not going to win. We are in 6th place now. 4 out of 5 are lefties to include me.

I use only cci primers with good results

my limited experience with a slug gun has always been 20. I used one the first three years I went to the southern tier with great success. Then I switched to a 50 cal ml and never looked back.

well the 308 is just an offspring of the 300 savage. it was developed off the 300 savage case. The 300 savage was the cartridge of choice for the military until they figured out they could change it slightly and not have to pay savage. The only difference is the length of the neck on the cartridge. I have a model 99 and will never feel under gunned from deer to moose. So plese do not think you have something better with a 308, just more popular. I tend to stay away from conventional popular calibers also. I currently use a 25-06 encore and am planning to have a 250-3000 savage barrel made for it, which is a 300 necked down. I took my savage out this fall as I do a few times a year. It was my Dad's, so I cherish it. Anyway at 130 yards, it knocked a doe right off her feet and she never moved. I am very pleased with the performance with a 150 grain hornady bullets and 39 grains of IMR 4895.

Well I got mine yesterday. Previewed it some this morning. I have to say I thought it was great. It was nice to see some hunts up in my out of the way part of the state. It was also real. There was no well this g2 is way too short or there is an off color in the fur on that one. It was also great to see places I actually hunt in 6a and 6c. Keep up the good work guys. so did my 300 savage. I know it was tongue in cheek, but I felt offended. I have had several deer go bang flop with that caliber.

I personally do not get the whole premise of quoting anyway, other than for an argument from what I see. If I already read the post being quoted, I will not read it again. I start at the beginning and read a whole thread, I pretty much can follow it.

yes under the ada, we have to make accommodations for such things. And I always do the test orally for the whole class. I have found over the years if you ask a group of students, mostly high school age if anyone needs any special help, no one asks as they do not want to be singled out. But once they fail the test, you can sure tell. So, as I said, I sit in the class read every question and give the multiple guess answers for them to choose from.
