Been using them for a couple years now and I won't switch until they stop making them , was using the 100 gr 1.75" and shot a buck last season through both shoulder blades n buried in the dirt, he only made it 40 yds, this year they came out with 2" 100 gr and I can't wait to let em eat! Been toying around with the idea of the "Elmer's edge" practically the same heads but u can screw the blades shut to practice with the actual head, they are sharpened on both entry surface and back part of the blades in opposite directions so they will spin as they cut! Shouldn't be disappointed with the swackers at all! Good luck

Seminole wind .. Has to play at least once on the way to the woods, NEVER missed an opening day , that n I drive out n sleep in the truck night before opening day whether it be turkey or deer .... Can't get a wink in otherwise...

Oddly enough I finished a week ago .. All stands are up n in good working order, bow and rifle are dialed in , last cam check done till I check em one last time last week of September n maybe one or two more evening sits to lay eyes on em , n then it's game on ! Now all I have to do is find the time to sneak out for a sit here n there during season with all the research projects , presentations, exams etc . Grad school is not fun but worth it in the end ... I'm sure I will, always do some way or another, pretty dam hard to keep me outa the woods for too long...

Do u still eat red meat? What do you do with the deer u shoot?

He's talking about a knocking point on the string itself that gets crimped on , guys that don't use a d-loop and attach the release straight to the string to avoid fumbling for the d-loop if a quick shot is needed use them ... He's wondering if anyone uses a d-loop and the crimp on under it so the loop won't move on the string over time...

Noahmstones got a good point , if theft is not a worry , than earlier the better... I've been done since the first or second week of August ... I'd rather let the area be as calm as possible the next month , outside of the occasional quick slip in for a cam check without lugging in stands n bagging around puttin em up ... Ur fine ..

That's all he ever does , go back to any perfectly good thread that he jumps in on and it turns to this crap ... Complains about racial slurrs, people attacking him , and nothing being done about it, when really he's the one antagonizing everyone , getting old !!!

6 days is a little short though, don't ya think?!
-
Also agreed, but I still put the lock on so the first passing its not an easy pick , make em think twice about goin all the way back to the truck to get the clippers , n then all the way back out ... Most a my stands are hard to get to , but ya if they really want it it's gone ... Just bought two screw in cam mounts n put em about 12 feet up , hopefully they don't notice them since they're out of line of sight , but if they do there gonna have to climb for em lol...

I like the last one ! Great character with that height !

The general point is they are starting to change , getting "some" of us exited for hunting season because it reminds us of the fall to come... I don't know why ur so adamant to drill home ur point that its not fall yet, of course it isn't.

Never been a big fan of my fletchings goin through bristles , not to say they don't work , but it's something I can't look past ... I've got the apache drop away and love it! Keeps the arrow contained until its time ...

Seen a few around here changing already ... Gettin to be that time !!! Next few weeks are gonna drag!

Shwackers... They've got the bone crushing penetration of a fixed blade, simplistic reliable mechanism on the blade deployment , rugged blades , and accuracy of field points .... Been using the 1.75" the past few years, and this year they came out with a 2" diameter in 100 grns.. Can't wait to put em to work ... Last seasons buck it busted through both shoulder blades and buried in the ground , 40 yds later there he lay...

Niagara outdoors in tonawanda ... I believe new threads are 70/80 bucks shooting for prefab string and a little over a hundred for custom ...

Good luck man , I'm jealous!!!

Not entirely true early, latts are an accessory muscle in this case supporting middle trap and rhomboids ... Ur right about pec though , no advantage to that..
-
In addition to your shoulder raises both out front and to the side, you should concentrate on your rotator cuff which is chiefly responsible for holding your joint steady (internal /external rotation exer) as well as shoulders shrugs for upper and middle trap, and then rows for middle trap and rhomboids which are your chief muscles for drawing back and holding your release arm steady ... I'm a second year physical therapy student n I use my bow hunting as a way to remember certain shoulder mechanics for class lol...

Hey D, how are u putting them up that high ? U buy the screw in mount n angle em down ... Still brainstorming how I can put em up like 10 ft to keep sticky fingers off of em n angle em down without spending 15+ $ on each mount ..
