You should get it back in April or May depending on how busy he is. Seems like 5 or 6 months is about average for NY, but it all depends on the taxi and the amount of work. Seeing as many people had a bad year this year, I doubt they're swamped with too much work. Some places like the Midwest take about a year on average. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't be worried either to be honest. Ive never had an issue in the city and the slashings and shooting tend to be in the poorer neighborhoods with a gang presence. Watch out if your on the subway though. Its safe but it has been more of a hot spot for crime lately in certain areas.

I don't see a reason to have them now. Someone who is going to do illegal things, isn't going to have their back tags on anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I put it on my back pack. I never liked having to poke a hole through my jackets and almost always have a back pack on while walking.

Fish that are towards the bottom of the food chain tend to have shorter life cycles therefore having less contaminates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love them! I get the kind that's skinless, boneless and in olive oil. I like to mash them up and add balsamic vinegar, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley and sea salt that I brought over from the area my family is from in Montenegro. I'll eat it twice a week if I can. Great source of protein for after the gym and omega 3's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Already mentioned it.

Honestly 125,000 for 100 acres sounds pretty good to me! Where I hunt, that would be close to 500,000 or 250,000 if your lucky. I would say to offer 100,000 if that better fits you budget if your willing to buy. The worst he can say is that its too low, but he may just accept it. The question is, is the land worth it. Investing in land is a great thing and is well worth more then going on out of state hunts for the rest of your life IMO.

I guess so. We are allowed to keep guns upstate with out a permit so we should be able to buy any where outside of the city. But i agree, the best course of action is to get the license even though that $300 every 3 years is a tough pill to swallow.

My father bought a gun upstate and they never mentioned they would not sell to us because we live in one of the boroughs. We have the permit but it wasn't asked for at all. We did end up filling out the paper work to bring the gun into the city though.

Wow that's a big fox! -
Its defiantly a high quality vest. Its the only one I wear and i have a bunch of other ones. You wont be disappointed.
-
Got it from cablelas...Its possible its fleece though. It was a gift so I never really looked.
-
Sorry to hear about what happened to your father. I don't rifle hunt with out an orange vest on...even on private land. Id wear a blaze vest that i usually wear on the outside of it. It just so happens to also be wool.
-
How many of you guys still wear and hunt in those classic wool jackets? I find my self wanting to get a pair of those checkered jackets and pants. Ive always loved the way they looked and the guy I hunt with wore them up until a few years ago.
-
That's a hard downside to deal with haha.

So far I don't see a down side to reloading once you learn the basics. I hope to start reloading my self soon. Two of the really big pro's are tailoring the cartridge to what your gun likes as well as producing ammo at a cheaper price than store bought.

I've been noticing this too. I saw more buck this season then the last 2 or 3 combined. I think I almost had even numbers of buck to doe on one of the properties I hunt. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or a bad one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They're always looking for blight resistant trees. It only makes their job easier and gives a better quality product in the end. Hopefully they are allowed to release to the public with in the next few years.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Personally I haven't had any reactions to anything yet, but that can change tomorrow. Its not uncommon to become allergic to something seemingly out of nowhere and vise versa.

Looks like were going to have healthier and bigger deer this season. The combination of a light winter and the number of acorns in the woods should really add up. Im sure there is still plenty of acorns out there to help put on fat and supply them with much needed carbs.
