  1. very talented! Does she do any drawings of deer in their habitat?
  2. Looks great! I love the wood that you used for the plaque.
  3. Ohh okay then. I use my yard clippings as fertilizer and weed barrier for my garden and fruit trees so I try not to put any chemicals on my yard.
  4. Id suggest hevi-shot mag blends. I never had the chance to use them on a bird but they did pattern nicely. I got the reduced recoil loads because they were cheaper, hurt less and still gets the job done out to 40 yards.
  5. I don't even worry about weeds anymore. Just make sure to keep the lawn cut short and it'll be hard to tell the difference.
  6. Id be willing to come time to time when you go. I wont be able to go very often but i will a few times a year.
  7. Thank guys I really appreciate this!! I never expected to see this here. Spent a few hours with some friends and now its time to spend some time with the family pruning fig and peach trees. Thanks again, you guys are the best!
  8. Love it! I'm defiantly going to steal this idea.
  9. Philoshop is right lawdaz, you'd be surprised what grout can do.
  10. Awesome job! If you ever decide to start doing taxidermy as a side job let us know...i'm sure many here would drop of their heads.
  11. I use a crystal pot call. Ive used the green scotch brite but i prefer to use sandpaper. Just a little conditioning and im good to go.
  12. I think the barrel on my turkey gun is either 22" or 24" but that only cause the gun came with it. I think the gain in maneuverability out weighs the loss of a hundred fps or so.
  13. I started using Barnes TSX because I don't like the idea of lead being in the food I eat. I think its even worse for those with young kids because it can effect brain development. The added benefits of great terminal balistics at the range and on game as well as the environmental benefits are a bonus. The only downside to lead free bullets is the price. Ill always use copper for hunting but I don't mind using lead for practice.
  14. Started seeing them mid week last week. Cant wait for gardening season and turkey hunting.
  15. Got my Nikon buckmaster II for right under 100 bucks for my 22 mag. I find Nikon's to be one of the best for that price range. Don't think ill buy to many scopes that aren't Nikon.
  16. Congrats! Where did you end up buying it?
  17. So far ive been cleaning the way my father was taught in the military. We take a string, attach a piece of an old shirt soaked with hoppes #9 and run it down the bore. Then we wait 20-40 min and repeat the process 2 or 3 times, depending until no more copper and powder. After that we do the same process with oil and I put it up till next deer or turkey season. Ill probably check it right before the summer or mid summer and clean if necessary.
  18. Oh I was unaware of that until now. Sorry I cant be of further help. There's a gun show on LI this month...maybe that would be a good place to ask around.
  19. Look up civilian marksman program...they specialize in M1's.
  20. Honestly I find fights to be nothing but a waste of time. I've only been in one fight (aside from sibling fights) and that was only because my friend got into the fight and I had to back him up. You never know what kind of person your getting into a fight with, and what he's capable of doing. Ill never start a fight, but I will defend myself if need be.
  21. Join the group deer hunting long island on facebook...they can really help you out there.
  22. Oh that i'm fine with out. I go many weeks with out touching my laptop...especially when i'm on vacation.
  23. Id like to think I can. Id rather not go with out a source of news though, so I can stay current with the world. Id never actually do it though.
