  1. We even have deer in Staten Island and some years they move into alley pond park in queens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Well those birds ended up working off as soon as I saw that flock of hens headed towards them. Only heard a few distant gobbles. Decided to take a walk and I found an interesting track. I have an idea of what it is, but I'd like to hear what you guys think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thought about that, but they're are a lot of hens that are just milling about around. In fact I went to move my decoy and saw 3 hens moving parallel. I don't think they saw me because they just casually fed away, but it's possible they did
  4. They keep going back and forth. They come pretty close and then start moving off, just for them to come closer later on. They seem to like purring though
  5. I've been playing with these gobblers for the last hour...don't know what to do to bring them in. Called in two hens though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Called in a hen to about 50 yards. No tom behind her Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Haven't tried scratching yet...I have decoys but in an area they can't see them. I believe they have hens with them cause I heard a bunch of them right in the area they moved too
  8. Playing with 3 tons right now. All with in 100 yards but they won't budge Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Been out since 5 and I maybe heard one gobble in the distance...wait just heard some Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. What ants said! Im thinking about getting a yugo myself, but i have others guns mind before ill get one.
  11. Happened on my grandparents land. Guess they had a game cam or some kind of alert system on it because when we worked our way back to the spot they were planted, the plants were completely gone. Gotta be careful on your own land now a days.
  12. I love that show! Pisses me off sometimes, but it draws me back like a moth to light.
  13. Looks like a doe to me, but it is hard to tell.
  14. Ill be going out one last time on Saturday. I already got a bird this year so anything else is just icing on the cake.

    Sea robins

That's a new one for me. Lived in NYC my whole life and I've never heard a sea robin called a hacklehead.
  16. My peach tree's had a good bloom about a month ago and now they're covered in a lot of fruit. My figs didn't do to well though, for some reason.
  17. Anyone here ever make your own call turkey call? I'm thinking in trying my hand at making a call or two this summer (box and pot). I was planning on making a wing bone call out of the Jake I got last weekend, but the landowners wife liked the wings so much I gave them to her. Figured she'd appreciate it more than me making a call out of them.
  18. Thanks for posting Espresso! Its pretty cool to be able to see mars.
  19. Wish I could come, but I have prior commitment. Just became a member in April though, so I should be at most of the shoots. Enjoy the shoot and hope to see you around some time.
  20. It's defiantly hard sometimes, but a day in the woods is well worth it!
  21. That sucks! Seems to happen more when i'm deer hunting than turkey but always hurts non the less.
  22. Id say I like it almost as much as deer hunting because of the auditory stimulation. When you actually get responses to your calls, it makes the heart pump. Also the change in hunting style is nice as well as the habits of the animal being different.
