I have never been a part of one but I have always wanted too. It seams to me that the only real way to do it is by experienced drivers and plenty of rules.

Would You Support a Blaze Orange Compromise?
ATbuckhunter replied to wildcat junkie's topic in Deer Hunting
I wear blaze orange anyway and so do majority of gun hunters as well so it wont bother me what so ever. -
That's some great fur! Congrats on your first fox.

The anti's are really messing with peoples hunts out there. Give it a shot but you almost guaranteed to run into an anti or have them fund you and harass you. I think ill give it a shot out there next year too.

He would get a pass in my neck of the woods...only because were in an AR and we cant shoot 4 pointers.

Off 440 IN STATEN ISLAND NICE BUCK FOUND DEAD
ATbuckhunter replied to hunterman7956's topic in Deer Hunting
Makes sense since there is no hunting nor are there any predators to take any of them out except for cars. Monster buck though. -
Ive never seen one in the wild before. I was just told by the land owner that a friend of his saw a bear while fishing on his brothers property across the street during the summer. Hopefully ill get a shot at one this weekend.

Congrats on the deer!

Ive never used a single pin bow sight and i thought about it my self. The only problem I see is that if a deer gets spooked and trots 10 or so yards, you'll have to do some Kentucky windage. That's the only thing that stops me from getting one of those HHA sights.

Will turkeys roost in the same spot come spring?
ATbuckhunter replied to walter sobcheck's topic in Turkey Hunting
As far as i know they move around every few days or sometimes every night. Fall turkey behave very different from spring turkey but there should be some roosting in the area come spring. -
Now that was a big buck!

Well I've been missing opening day for the last 3 years in a row but I have been able to make it out the next day. I've been in the woods with my grandparents since i was 4 or 5 so technically I've been hunting for quite a while.

I saw one half rack 8 point chasing a doe on Sunday.
-
Thats awesome!
-
Saw a bunch of nervous looking does but also still saw some older does with their fawns. I also had a half racked buck chase a doe around for 20 min. After I did a grunt and snort wheeze, he stopped made some scrapes and followed the trail the doe did. I saw a decent 8 point locked down with a doe the last weekend of bow season too.

Congrats! First deer is one of the best moments your going to have.

never ceases to amaze me..................
ATbuckhunter replied to waterweasle's topic in General Chit Chat
As bad as it is to do that, sometimes people get lucky with it. I know when i got my rifle scope put on and bore sighted, the thing was dead on at 100. I also have had it bore sighted and had it about 3 feet off from the center! -
Saw 9 deer today. Most were single does with no bucks but one doe was being dogged pretty heavily by a half racked 8 point. I also had a spike push a few does but looked like he was really just having some fun and not really serious. Looks like the does should be ready in my area in the next few days...too bad I have class.

I personally would do a euro but its up to you in the end. What people consider mount material is different person to person. Ive seen spikes mounted by friends and there's nothing wrong with it. Congrats on the deer by the way.

Now that's an awesome buck!
