    When you used to shoot a doe and go in for your bonus tag, they would issue you an either sex bonus tag. So guys were using their 2 doe tags to get 2 more additional buck tags. They got rid of that years ago though. Now they just issue a bonus dmp.

    In the 9 years Ive been bowhunting I took one deer at about 43 yards, but most shots are 20 and under. Last year I missed a shot at 25 yards (used 20 pin) and years ago I missed one at 30. My max range is 40 yards this year since I have had a lot of practice and in the many 3D shoots ive done, ive only had a couple not so good shots at 40. Most shots are under 20 yards for most people thankfully so long shots arent common.

    And 311 is always coorect? Those people don't know their asses from their faces most of the time. If it is causeing damage you have the legal right to dipatch them. You actually arent allowed to move live animals, so you have to dipatch it. Confirmed by a DEC agent 3 weeks ago

    Thats a lie. Spoke to a DEC agent and you are legally aloud to kill them if they are causing damage. Got rid of 3 this year, 3 last year and hoping to get at least 3 next year. I also live in queens

    Congrats! Don't let anyone bring you down on the size of it like on LIDH, any bear in NY is a trophy. Im hoping to get out this weekend or next week for them.

    Ive got 2 knives that I got for free when I signed up for deer and deer hunting magazine and a field and stream knife I bought 9 years ago. Those 3 knives serve me pretty well. I might get the gerber replaceable blade knife just for ease of use.

    Larry is right! Its bad enough that people use it in the open, but in a closed setting its really the worst thing you can do with it.
