  1. The way i see it is, you cant be mad at a person for wanting to leave a bad life for a better one and provide for his family. I may feel bad if they get deported, but at the end of the day they are here illegaly so I cant say anything.
  2. I dont remember the exact temperature, but i remember it being in the single digits. I believe it was 7 degrees, but im not sure what the real feel was witht the wind.
  3. No big woods hunting or me, but I always drag my deer out. If i had to drag for miles, maybe I would reconsider dragging.
  4. I hear it can be good. They usually go out towards block island to get on them.
  5. You might want to check the regs again if you're able to use the cross bow. Something tells me you wont be able to.
  6. I might try going out for early bear in September, but if not Ill be taking oct 1st off for the opener. Although I did just kill a woodchuck in my grandparents garden so I guess that date was today?
  7. I agree. It’s too much for me to go out and hunt coyotes like that so I doubt I would even go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. There is no reason to think that it will never have any serious effect on deer. Scrapies is a known fatal desiese to sheep, so whats the reason cwd cant be fatal to deer? After all you happen to believe its the same exact disease. Even if its not effecting the herd one day doesnt mean it wont down the line. As of right now thankfully there doesnt seem to be a major effect.
  9. I think the most effective thing would be to have at least a mini season during the fawning period before they can run well. Thats when its most beneficial to remove coyotes.
  10. From the research ive done, it does not appear to be the same disease. They manifest differently and result in different resistant prion protiens (PrP res). Safe to say they are not the same, but granted they are similar. There is still a lot left to be learned about this desiese. At this point it ismore easily transmitted than mad cow disease, so the possibility is there that it can be transmitted to humans. But like every one says, the possibilities are extreemly low.
  11. No offence, but I made sure to listen to both marks and you were wrong on both. He saif scrapies is in the family of CWD (a very similar protien) and it manifests in a different way than CWD. He also said that there is no evidence of it happening, but the possibility is there. We are definitely right to "throw" money at researching this as this can be a serious issue with hunters.
  12. I remmeber hearing some older guys saying they thank god every day their wives don't like hunting or fishing. One even went as far to not even bring a gun sometimes, because he just wanted to be in the woods away from his wife lol
  13. The worst I ever had it was the neighbor of one of the places I hunt. Once she would hear a shot she would come screaming and call the state troopers on us. Thankfully she moved and we havent had a problem since.
  14. This is actually the direction we should be moving in. Instead we are warming up and breaking the cycle.
  15. We'll if you look at their emmissions, its really not anything to worry about in the moment. But yes you cannot deny them those things. I do believe we have to look into greener technologies like solar and wind.
  16. Generally whats being said isnt false. Media has a way of exaggerating things, but honestly its not much. There are a lot of moving parts in global warming, but trying to limit co2 emmesions can only help. It is hard since other countries don't care like India and China, so they will have to be dealt with eventually.
  17. This thread is going to turn into a shit show. Of course its real! Majority of the people that dispute it know none of the facts and those that know one or two things like to use one thing that we can't fully explain as red herring. It can be exaggerated on both sides, but its happening for sure.
  18. For me its me T/C Icon .30-06. I just love that round. Next deer rifle I get will probably be the 7mm-08, because its been a real killer from what I hear.
  19. He can't be pro hunting if he's in favor of selling off public lands or allowing them to be used in ways that could easily destroy the land. One of the biggest problem new hunters face, or even expereinced hunters face is a lack of land to hunt. One of the biggest problems hunters in europe face...and we definitely don't want to follow their shoes for hunting.
  20. I see some bs numbers. Thats the uneplotment rate when obama entered office, but in his last year it was 4.9. If you watch trumps childish actions, its really easy to see why his approval ratings are int he gutter. You reap what you sew I guess
  21. I also say genetics is the biggest factor for this guy. Ive lifted with some people that should have out lifted me by large margins, but while they were struggling to bench 135, I would be adding the second plate and hit 5-7 reps for 3-5 sets. They genetically had the size, but I genetically had the stength. They were pretty lean and outweighed me by 15-20 pounds if I remember correctly. If this is legit, this guy has top teir genetics. He could be much bigger if he ate normally. Definitely not a diet 99% of the planet should strive for.
