Welcome ,neighbor ! Retired RFD here left at 58 not looking back ,one daughter a RN at Strong, Dad was sent home from WW II when his two young uncles and brother were KIA in the same week , hunted the same farm in 8H for idk 32 years ?

Not sure if he’s hunting or just touring around .

Plus it’s in an inside corner . I struggle to find trees with cover in the open woods , that’s my best hid one . I’m planning on moving another one soon, but the woods is wide open and getting it in bow range of the spot and not on a phone pole tree is proving difficult. I like to have cover it’s just seldom possible for me , fortunately in the rut bucks aren’t paying much attention.

Woods fine, There is a ladder from a stand we made 25 years ago still leaning up against a tree ,I d use it today with little worries . Pressure treated and carriage bolts . Is it the U bolts ?

I’m all ladders ,15-18 footers , some pretty big ones. Mine have seats that flip,up I can have my back right against the trunk if I wanted to . Most of mine are on telephone pole type trees just the way it is . The height difference between the entry and exit hole of my xbow buck this year was a couple inches , I don’t shoot a deer with bow or xbow more then 20 yards and are most under that . Heres my most hidden ladder , I killed two bucks out of it this year , could do that every year out of it , if I always sat there .

This actually could have been pretty funny ,had you put some thought into it and come up something other then common cliches. Oh I’ll take the fruits and vegetables, they’ll make good bait , thanks !

Wow sorry to hear that . The other day I talked to a guy who has his permit from a different county then where he lives because, he owns rental properties there . My daughter moved to Erie and we were nervous about transferring her Unrestricted permit there, as your packet is sent from previous county, then Erie calls you in and you go through some of their bs. The county that issued her permit, said she could do that OR, they would put her Buffalo address on her permit and notify the a State Police of her new address and bypass Erie altogether. On one a forum , nyfirearms ,there’s always guys with your issues, and many have resolved them . Some very knowledgeable guys there as well as gun instructors,and attorneys who specialize in these things. Some have simply requested a hearing and pleaded their case .

Hey, nobody noticed my Willie Nelson autographed Blade magazine ? I got him right off his tour bus, to sign that , a custom made knife for him is on the cover . My nephew bartended at a hotel everyone stayed at while playing in town and would clue me in , Willie stayed on the bus in the parking lot, so I walked up and knocked on the window ..... I got Shania Twain , Alan Jackson , many Olympic skaters ,Faith Hill , met Jim Kelley to name a few . The good old stalking days !

As you may have heard a guy pulled a shotgun in a Texas church and killed two , before he was shot and killed . I’ve circled the parishioners that pulled guns .... one guy who drew right in front of the pos was shot dead . Then another guy I believe part of the security team , sent the bad guy straight to Hell . If you search for the video , the woman who rushes out her family has the best muzzle discipline .

Thanks , it’s the three blade one . I was a little forward , was aiming for the crease . Oh I was pleased with the result , it didn’t go 60 yards, I got right down after the shot and walked to it , not opening till most of the way through ,seemed odd . Guess I’ll just have to shoot more deer and see .

Good thought , I may ditch one of them . I also will talk to, the shop that sold them , they seemed pretty big on them .

Forgive my ignorance, but in 31 years of killing them with a bow ,I’ve only used a mechanical once as an experiment. This years crossbow buck ,my first ,it seems the entry hole is a small round hole, the bolt then went trough the heart, same a round hole. It appears it opened before exit . I shoot a Tenpoint xbow, don’t know the model , didn’t know which mechanical , till I just took this pic. it says “ wasp” which I believe is brand wether then a model . Thoughts ? I really don’t want a repeat of this .

It’s interesting ,I’m sure many can’t believe it wasn’t long ago kids still went to one room school houses . My brother in law attended one, that still stands but has been converted into a shop, buy the guy that bought it . I park right next to it ,where I hunt . Half of them are on a road named Brick Schoolhouse Rd. Lol
