Thanks , I use the jerky gun , but my cheap rotation dehydrator sucks .

Same as Grampy, 40 years of shooting 12ga slugs, a Remington Mod. 11, bird barrel .... then a Browning BPS, killed many many deer with them. Once Ontario County went rifle ,like 6 years ago ,I happily did to, 7mm08 .

Check your PMs .

with the second loop, I know I can get down ,if I can’t get to the rungs .

Good move . Ours were flickering at times then stopped working , I went to check the fuse in the plug , but the little door would not slide open . The reason was, the end of the plug was melted ! Once I tore off the little door, the whole inside was black and burned, with a strong odor of burnt electrical. these were C7s not led, but I have little faith in any cheap Chinese cords and lights

It’s not hard to add a descent devise or braking system to your lifeline, the trouble is climbing up with it . Here’s one I still have from my bailout system from work, works great diving out a window for a controlled descent , royal pain in the a$$ to feed the rope back through , like you’d have to do climbing up . https://www.thefirestore.com/store/product.aspx/productId/12196/selectedVariationId/26592/Sterling-F4-Escape-Auto-Locking-Descent-Control-Device-NFPA-E?utm_source=googlebase&utm_campaign=googlebase&utm_content=26592&gclid=CjwKCAiA9JbwBRAAEiwAnWa4Q6lMRbDKXHZCYV3tlNQnmjolvPowFpkTMtxN6MNTVk3s9YxY0N1s8hoCspAQAvD_BwE You can always carry a second closed loop on you, then in case of a fall, if you somehow can’t climb back in, tie a Prusik with it near your foot, put foot in it ,stand up , slide top one down , hang from that, lower bottom one , keep inch worming down . Ive gone up and down three stories like that in training .

In honor of your Birthday my whole family will gather today for a special meal and merriment !

No problem . I wish I knew back in the day what we know now , never showered after a fire, never cleaned our goods, took off our face pieces way to early and now many of my friends are fighting the fight . Thank you, skate hard !

Dr. Normad is in ! Cancer is ravaging The FD , every party or get together, I learn of another guy with it , last one is a healthy 50 y/o .

In 2,004 one of the girls made a paper chain, with this star at the end . Each day you remove one link, the last link is removed on Christmas Day and the star remains . Somehow we missed taking the star down when putting the decorations away, and ever since I’ve forbid it’s removal . Also I see a lot of deer heads in these pictures, and not one has ornaments hanging from the antlers ,another Nomad tradition.

Interesting topic , I’m in Moog’s camp, I can move a small ladder in minutes , undo straps .bend knees ,grab a rung and walk with it upright to next tree. Although with my woods being 225 yards wide in gun I can cover the whole back with three ladders and never move them . My sticks and LW hang on I can have up and be sitting in it ,in ten minutes if need be , saddle idk if it’s for me on my small 90 acres with the same deer patterns every year . My sits tend to be three hours or less mornings , afternoons are an hour and a half , so I’m not up long enough to get uncomfortable .

Without scrolling up,to look , I’d guess a friend walked by his camera .

Ha , he lives minutes from Moog and I , I’d even let him ride shotgun !

What Was Your Biggest Disappointment This Season?
Nomad replied to squirrelwhisperer's topic in Bow Hunting
I understand your feelings on this, but thats still above the state wide success for gun hunters ,and I’d imagine way above for first time hunters 5/8 is a win . I know a guy who after five years, just got his first deer ,a doe . Now between working for the FD, being in the reserves, two pre school kids, and not having a spot of his own , I think he’s on the path most of us took . For me my daughter not hunting much . Along with not shooting this buck, two crooked brows, and I think 11 points . He was standing maybe 60 yards from me , head on in an open field, I had the crosshairs on him . That field I’ve killed many deer in over the years , once the man died who, owned it, the woman doesn’t want me to hunt her field any more . He was a stones throw from my land too . I can’t say I’d not take that shot if presented to me again . -
You really don’t want to see in my gun safe then .
-
Not sure . Today 8H , a bit in 8F, years gone by somewhere in the ADK, a few places in the southern Tier .

I’m down to my last 12 pack .
