Nomad replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
Ya we used to inspect that business and they offered up the batteries . I refused at time of inspection , but would return with a six pack of Coke for the warehouse workers who would gladly hook us up ! They had more thenthe recyclers could take . Haven't been there I years . -

Oopsy !!! We missed Big Indian's and Phades Bday

Happy B DAY BOYS ! Speaking of AA batteries , I used to get them by the 5 gallon bucket ! There is a place in town that breaks down single use cameras for recycling , they had tractor trailer loads of them . They all tested above 80% gave ziplock bags of them to friends. -
Well except the Kilchers all live in basically very nice suburban houses in town . What you see on the show is basically their dump areas and some old ramshackle outbuildings from back in the day out in the bush. Know a person who lives in the same town.

As a Boy Scout, I was taught to be prepared so I guess I'm one .

Ya those are cool, I've admired them for awhile. Problem is some are as big and heavy as many pocket pistols that carry more rounds . That one is 5 inches ( and it's a smaller model ) long granted its a 410 not .380 or .32. ive almost "pulled the trigger" on one just for the unique factor .

TF, Genny's Honey Orange Cream Ale, is selling very very well, had to brew additional runs just for Wegmens . Not my favorite as I don't think beer should taste like fruit, or in this case a Cream-sickle !

This is my buddies bow killed Elk in Montana , he lives in Great Falls. I could arrange a bow hunt with him . He's a biology Prof. and I'm sure my attorney friend from Washington State would join us . Not sure of odds of out of state tags , but I got a deer/ elk combo pretty easy . He killed this one 3 miles from camp and took 3 trips to pack out the meat, one reason I have little interest in killing one ....

Growing up in Webster when I did, it's what you did . Our fathers all hunted and deer hung from trees when you did your morning paper route. My bus driver passed out pheasant feathers to us . Was a casual gun hunter till I worked in the factory where everyone hunted and getting OD off was a battle or sick day... But they did not like that much ,finally management gave up and wee all got it off. Today most of my stand time is in bow season , which oddly started the year I got married 1,988 . Could not take a honeymoon as I used up my vacation time canoeing the Yukon River , but each day with me is a honeymoon !! see fellas there's a lesson there, she did not complain I used up my vacation time canoeing , two months prior to the wedding , that's a good fulltime night woman right there .

Charged me $300, with no loading ,drive time and off loading then repeting I figure he made out pretty well , hopefully his kids got new shoes that Christmas , cheap ones but at least new .

Everyone wants a trophy, be it deer or wife . Hey I know I got a trophy wife , well not a big shiny first place one, more like a " hey you showed up here's your trophy ."

In honor of your Birthday I'm putting on my red , white and blue Speedo drinking Genny white cans and firing my 9MM into the air ! Or maybe just put on a short sleeve button down shirt and drink fancy booze, while talking about investments at my BIL place on Canandaigua Lake ..... Its a toss up !.

Been looking at it for my daughter , she has my old Taurus steel, frame snubbie . The triggers are supposed to be very good on the LCR. My thought would be buy the .357 as its a bit heavier to abosorb recoil , but shoot .38 s .

Take a pic. Then screen shot that pic. Post the screen shot, it's comes out right side up for me .
