    Letchworth

I used to bow hunt it with a dozen or so guys on the job. A few of them hunted it 30 years. They'd lock up C cabins for several weeks , the end of bow and beginning of gun. Was a nice hunt , but really a better outing with the boys . Frankly my spot is much better and easier to hunt . They would bring a rope system , strap the deer to a cart , set up a 4 to 1 and haul it up. Frankly just packing out horns and meat is much simpler , but East coast guys don't seem to get that . Must drag...... Lol Also in bow its possible to,get the park personal/ park police to open up some of the gates to let you drive down closer. We hunted down past the poilce shooting range and they've unlocked the gate and let us drive down more than once . But then my party may have an advantage.

    Weather

I'm ok with that forecast ! I work while it's raining and off when it stops . Haven't been out in a week or so and that'll stretch it to close to two weeks . No other hunters in my woods, should be good on Sunday !
  4. Yes it is , my friend has other pics of it .
  5. Eddie it's very dark , but here's a bear on West Gulick rd.
  6. Oh, good thing the oldest's BF doesn't have to much Med school left .......
  7. If they can't use trad / compound , can't they get a medical release to use Xbow ? My shoulders are putting me close to that line ...,, Oh I'd be surprised if this doesn't turn into a debate .
  8. The bike could be a distraction. It makes you look in that direction . i have cameras up for security , one is on a lane way in, as the lane bends your natural tendency is to look to the outside of the bend , so I place things like a large dolls head on the outside bend to make you look there even more , wondering wtf ..... The camera is on the inside of the bend . Works Kinda of like the magicians helper , the beautiful woman is a distraction .
  9. This is my friend in Washington state with the one he shot a couple weeks ago. The state issues 5 tags a year , aster 25 years of building points he got the tag, and promptly shot the sheep. $330 for the tag a tank of gas and a week end of camping .

    Live from Brooklyn....
  14. Impossable to answer based on info . What's in field ? Crops ? What kind ? Are they still standing ? What's the wind direction ? What else is around , how do you approach the stand, how much other cover and crops are around and where and on and on id say just hunt it and learn. I've hunted my spot for 30 years, still fine tuning it . I've got trails worn down inches , one can sit there all day and not see one deer use them . All that matters is what one sees during hunting hours in the season , hop in the stand and learn .
  15. Found a couple more, added our daughter shooting her 9mm as well....
  16. Few pics of family members , I'm looking for others . C

  23. Got these from a guy at work.
  24. Never owned a range finder in my close to 30 years of bow, used to mark a few trees , don't anymore . Longest shot I ever took was 25 yards, most I'd say are 10-15 yards . My top pin is pretty much good out to 30. Anybody that walks can learn to estimate bow ranges, well I guess they also would need to be able to count . When I worked on a shipping dock, we'd do,it often, " that I beam is 25 yards" then count as we walked to it and so on. Today I still do it walking the dog, in parking lots, walking in the store . perhaps one could do,it walking into and out from their stand..... Maybe even stump shoot.
