  1. In one of our bean fields.
  2. That's a nice looking wall ! oh that 8H DMP is going in the mail tomorrow , happy hunting !
  3. Left field , welcome ! My take is this, the antis hate hunters and the whole hunting culture and they want to stomp it out , period. Spears are out, safari's are out , millions of acres of Federal land are out , hunt only big bucks,? You're trophy Hunter removing the strongest when you should be removing the weakest and on and on . Meanwhile we help, them by infighting over everything from Xbows , to ARs ( both kinds....) Does anyone really think those that got AU to fold will support your bow hunting ? Think they "like" your big buck you killed with your 30.06 and posted on FB ? The Bowmars got stabbed in the back and we're next in line . the following is off of PETA's web page , it helps to know your enemy. “Some hunting groups claim that by obeying laws and killing free-range animals in a manner that does not give humans an “improper advantage” over their prey, the activity constitutes “fair chase.” Of course, these same groups encourage hunters to shoot game with rifles, shotguns, and bows and arrows—weapons that no animal has any chance of outrunning, let alone fighting. “
  4. For those interested in voicing their opinion. https://www.change.org/p/under-armour-bring-back-the-bowmar-s-demand-under-armour-to-quit-cowering-to-anti-hunters?recruiter=587848943&utm_source=petitions_share&utm_medium=copylink&recuruit_context=copylink_long
  5. If I have to wait 8 hours , instead of sitting in my car till Midnight or later to start a tract, I'll just go,home and come back in a few more hours with help and natural light . One problem with using UV lights to find blood is well, one needs blood , something with gut shots there often is not much. Blood absorbs UV and does not glow it appears darker the the objects it's on as long as they fluoresces. If the blood dilutes at all, snow , rain, dew,UV lights are not effective at all. i recommend practicing with the light, before relying on it .
  6. First they came for the spear .... Who doesn't think the arrow will be close behind ? A lot of hunters are noticing how fast and with how few of complaints AU dropped the WIFE of the spear hunter . One thing they didn't like was that he left it over night, then found it 70 yards from the site of the shot . Sound like any of your bow hunts ? BTW I expressed my feelings to AU yesterday , some guys are burning their AU and posting photos , don't let. The antis have the only voice here.
  7. Never will happen. My buddy hunted a spot right next to it, one of those rich guys wanted the deer gone due to all the crashes. It was unreal hunting , he has videos that look like those hunting shows, deer just pouring into the fields . The guy wanted the county executive to open park to,hunting, as the deer use it as a refuge . She said no way, and then he closed his land that hunting . The town of Webster has a lot of deer and a town bow hunt on it, but you have to be a town resident . I killed the very first deer in the first town hunt many moons ago .
  8. St Marks ave E. The two guys are in med school at Downstate, but they move around to,different hospitals the girl works for CNN , no,idea where that is. My daughter got a job at New York Presbyterian, it's 20 or 25 minutes I thInk . At least it is from Park Slope I believe . Whats interesting is while Rochester is a small city, our good and bad areas are pretty seperate , there are no professionals moving into bad or so so,areas. We drive cars , the kid flipping burgers drives his own car. So,there's no subway with a mix of people, passing through different parts of town. There's little walking home , she drives home and parks in a small lot ten feet from her door . When I worked in the hood I went to tons of shootings, gun shots nightly , one year 5 were shot to,death within 100 yards of the firehouse , the 8 years I've worked at my present house I don't recall one shooting in my first in district . Im sure she'll be fine, it's just different, I'm just trying to,figure it out . Thanks everyone .
  9. Ok you NYC fellas, our oldest got a job at a NYC hospital and is moving to NYC to live with her BF who's in Med school there. They're close to signing on a place in Crown Heights, new construction, parking garage , doorman, cameras and so on. I understand the area is under going gentrification , other than that I don't know much of the area . It'll be two couples , two med students , a nurse and a CNN reporter chick.
  10. Once we went rifle, I needed to buy one. My buddy out west like the .270, and those Savage packages were cheap . So there your you, have it .

  13. Well I've watched the videos of the gas station incident as well as them returning to Olympic Village with their wallets, watches and phones . It seems , to collaborate Brazil's version , more so,then the swimmers versions , which changed more times then the color of Lochte's hair. What we have is a 32 Y/O " man" who gets drunk and breaks down a door and is asks to pay for it then has to lie to Mommy about it . The swimmers already admitted the robbery story was made up. https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/olympics2016/2016/08/18/brazil-police-say-ryan-lochte-made-robbery-story/Q9jUvI1GZM4LHwfR9XDzeJ/story.html?p1=Article_Trending_Most_Viewed
  14. Swimmers caused damage at a gas station , security held their cab , and called poilce . swimmers became aggresive , and security then held them at gun point while awaiting poilce. Edit . It seems security did not pull gun, manager of station excepted payment for damage, according to,latest news I've found . Swimmers agree to pay for damage and are let go, I'm guessing prior to,poilce o/s . Having zero street knowledge ,they then make up a story probably , based upon movies they've watched ..... and almost immediately anyone with streets sense says that don't make sense gringo...... The stupid is strong with this one .
  15. At first I simply thought "ok set up by taxi driver" happens a lot in such places, one reason athletes are told not to use them. Then I heard his version and I thought " that's a weird tale", " most likely robbed or set up by hooker and changed the story to a simple robbery ." Then I watched the video of them returning to Oymplic Village at a time stamped 6:56 am. They go, through metal detectors and are wearing Their watches and can be seen placing phones and wallets in a plastic box..... Btw phones are the number one item taken in street robberies over there . Perhaps the robbers were new at the whole robbery game ? Ok,he was ordered on the ground, and what he takes out wallet and empties it of cash while face down ?? Instead of the robber just taking it and phone and running . I be never heard of a street robbery where folks are ordered to,the ground , its always ," run your sh1t" ( empty your pockets ) and they're gone . This does not pass the smell test at all .
  16. My daughter hunts in a pair of short light weight hiking shoes, sneakers would do with warm socks. If they work for her hiking the pacific north west,ADK why would she have an issue deer hunting flat land? I hunt almost always in Muck Boots . Largely as they keep my pant leg clean and I can take them off easy for the drive back and forth .

  18. Federal Suspension of Bill of Rights Runs 4 Days"It's not a loophole, exactly," according to gun-law expert Alan Korwin, author of the unabridged guide, Gun Laws of America. "The so-called 'escape clause' was deliberately put into the Brady law to allow gun sales if the national computer ever went down, or in case it was never actually built. I followed that legislation closely -- it's designed to help prevent federal agents from suspending the Bill of Rights and blaming it on a computer."The latest computer outage, however, froze gun sales nationwide for four days, and ended Sunday. It was blamed on the part of the system known as the triple "I", the interstate identification index. A schematic of the $200 million background check system is posted at gunlaws.com.Recognizing that the national background check (NICS) could stop gun sales altogether, Congress explicitly required its use only if it is running and information is available (under law 18 USC §922(t)(5), reprinted below*). But gun dealers, afraid for their livelihood and licenses, have so far been reluctant to risk relying on the law, at least not on their own, creating a sort of rights-denial-by-default. When NICS is down, dealers generally refuse to make sales, costing them a small fortune.Doing business without NICS would almost certainly attract the wrath of federal agents. "Though the intent was to protect you, and that language was specifically placed there during drafting for this very reason, I have little doubt that the feds would be, shall we say, displeased, at such challenge to their power," Korwin says. "The fact is, 't5' has a penalty for a dealer who doesn't use NICS-but only if it's running. The above copy and paste is old, not reflecting the recent outage. If NICS is down they can still complete the sale, but dealers won't out of fear . Not sure how NYS and the unSafe act comes into play here though .
  19. The farm I hunt has done some ,no till beans . I only know this because I often ask what's going to be the fields by my spot. I can ask how it went , I know nothing about farming . i know the field was small maybe 20 acres, they planted 800 acres of beans , not sure how many were no till.
  20. The large one is my favorite , roomy and rock solid , the triple trees provided some cover . The smaller one that my daughter is practicing sitting in cost me $39 at the end of the year a few years back. We wheeled 10 or so OT of Dicks that day. They each do, the job, the smaller one is harder to turn in ,due to small foot platform .
  21. Wow for a minute I thought I forgot my own Brithday ! Happy Bday !!!
  22. I still go to the town hall, just went , system down !
