  1. If it's camo it's mine ......
  2. I have to lose something in the woods each year , prior to killing a buck , like giving up,an offering , usally something small like a grunt tube or hat. To bad you, found the camera that has to,worth a B&C .
  3. All day comfort , seat flips up, plenty of platform to stand , turn , and move around on . I carried it in and put it up by myself 17 footer.
  4. It's what most us us did back in the day. In the beginning they were pretty risky , old wood off the side of the road and nails..... Got older used pressure treated, long lags and washers . One issue is trees sway and that puts a lot of pressure on the stand, one can put slots in the framing to,let the bolts kind of move with it , leave them out a bit , this allows them to slide in the slot and just like screw in steps as the tree grows it'll pull the bolt in . personally today I have one stand in a triple tree and it's an extra large ladder , Field and Stream something . Buy the time you buy the lumber and fasteners it's not much of a savings in money or time.
  5. Or take a screen shot of the pic and post that .
  6. Years ago I stopped getting down at " an even time " in gun i.e. 9:00, 9:30 and so on . We'd get down at say 9, start the walk out and deer would be running across the field from the north woods to,ours. Soon learned guys over there got down at 9:00 too .
  7. Teeth on each side steps rotate 180 so one can set it up for proper step off to stand .
  8. I bought those sticks off some another member named larry over in Buffalo ..... You think he sold me defective ones ??? No LW are reversible side to side , so they have teeth on the top and bottom .
  9. I think he may.... Well those are Lone Wolf sticks I believe they'er on right , i've been using LW sticks for many years . Why do,they look upside down? Real TC, it may be fine , but I'd dress that knot up .
  10. I like to be settled in as it starts to get light. Most of my walking is along fields and being able to see and glass while walking in is a big aid in avoiding ones in the fields . My walk in from the fields to most of my stands is an average of 30 yards . I hunt mostly mornings and this bow season I think I bumped perhaps 3 deer. Plus I hate getting up,early !
  11. Here's one thing I do. I use an app Hunt Stand I believe , on it I mark my stands , then take a screen shot and send that to my wife and friends . Now when I hunt I tell her what stand I'll be in so if she doesn't hear from me at a certin time she know where to send the fellas to look.
  12. Just like in a falling elevator , just jump,up before you hit the ground ......
  13. Life line is tied off above stand at a height so when you'er sitting there is just slight slack in line to harness , also, tie off down low so one can push knot up as you climb. Life line needs to be bigger diameter then Prusik knot . Dont use nylon or cheap rope.
  14. My father -in-law , used to say " buy the best cry only once ."
  15. Rebel, nice stand, boots and bows ! Im a righty and shoot guns lefty , but still shoot a right hand bow . Right eye was weaker pre LASIK and i switched many years ago to left eye. After LASIK right got very good and my dominate eye switched from right to,left . Anywho.... I make it work.
  16. Right now it's on top the fridge as I'm in gym shorts , after I eat and shower, it'll be strong side 4:00 O'clock .
  17. Altanta too, my Nephew is there on business , but Georgia has reciprocity with his state ...... the Universtity of Rochester is offering counseling for their special snowflakes that may need it due to Trumps victory . And to think my Father fought in WWII and when his brother and both uncles were KIA in the same week , he simply came home and went back to work .
  18. Possible world record . Nephew says the have another on trail cam that might be bigger !!! http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/2016/11/08/state-world-record-deer-killed-sumner-county-tennessee/93492744/
  19. Lol ask Moog about the small pine by where I park ....
  20. Looks like Mrs 302's cooking !!!
  21. Trump wins, what's next ? The Cubs winning the World Series ? Im not sure what I enjoy more, Trump winning , or seeing the libs so taken back. Now let's get that SCOUS loaded with conservatives ! That'll make a lasting impression .
  22. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/massive-fire-engulfs-building-ny-steel-mill-site-43415754 ok they say a " hot light bulb " fell on cardboard starting the fire . Since cause and origin is a day or two from going in and frankly they'll never get to the seat of the fire to start that investigation , I have to assume that investigators talked to a person or persons who either saw it fall or arrived as the fire was still in the incipient stage , and saw the bulb laying in a small fire of burning cardboard . How in the wide world of sports, then did it get this big? If it was witnessed as it started ? I would GUESS and that's all this is , is a delay in call , often because they try to put it out themselves first. That's just a guess though . ill also add with a building that size, if no body is meeting them and directing them in, it would take quite a while to find the fire inside, and the stretch to the seat of the fire may require piecing in extra hose on the attack lines from multiple engines . Old buildings like that of that size full of combustibles , without a sprinkler system , unless that first line can get right in and on the seat of the fire, which would be difficult , that's often the result . Thats my armchair firefighting thoughts .
  23. I tried to gloat, but I couldn't find any Hillary voters, they were all packing up to move to Canada .
