Gee a tv show that's scripted re shot and edited who could have guessed ? As for the two guys, Stroud was a music major turned garbage man turned outdoor guide. Grylls is an accomplished climber, sailor and a para trooper in the SAS who, also climbed MT Everest and lead expeditions in places like the Northwest passage . I don't watch either shows but Grylls sure seems like he accomplished way more.

Mine our 25, and ,22 and out of the house but here's how it went . First "dates" are at our home while we are home...... Ok if a kid shows up I have never met would i let him borrow my shotgun? Ok then why would I let him ride off with my daughter ? After we've met him a couple times the leash gets longer.

I think it's pretty common Years past a large group came down from Quebec to hunt with a local. They had a ton of guys tresspassed everywhere killed trucks full of deer , never bought a tag. They would run from you jump in their trucks and speed off. After I believe 9/11 you needed a hunting lic. to enter with your guns and they never came back.My hunting partner had his daughters BF move in with them, he's from "up north" and hunts. My buddy asked him if he wanted to come with us and did he get a lic. yet He laughed and said where he was from nobody bought them.

No bait just set them close to hole , one on each side.

Here's my moler.... I've tried all the homemade tricks. One thing that worked ok to a point , was a mouse trap On each side of each hole. Got 6 the first night.

Funny I was walking my dog yesterday and a neighbor had a 38 inch piece of railroad track out at the road, I thought that if I could cut a chunk off it might make a handy little anvil. It's sitting on my garage floor ...... -
Part of the problem is the folks who wrote the knife laws know as much about knives as the safe act authors know about guns. In the knife world a butterfly knife is not a gravity knife, automatics come in one of two ways out the front ( otf) or side opening. As said stiletto is a style or shape not an opening type. A spring assisted knife is not an automatic and is legal , hunting fishing lic. not needed as they don't meet the legal definition of an automatic as they have to be started manually often by stud or flipper they also have a biased towards closure by way of a ball detent . Sometimes courts try to say otherwise and there will be another test case based upon the Baltimore arrest that lead to the recent riots, he had a spring assist knife. Those of us involved in knife rights are looking forward to this case and even parts of the main stream media are calling bs . Autos and spring assist fun to play with and I own them , but all are slower than an Emerson folder with the "wave" that comes out of your pocket open ! Living in Monroe county I'm unaware of any blade length restrictions , for years a bum used to run around Rochester with a sword he was well known to PD who called him the Shiek.

Ya that issue has been raised here for time to time as well. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squaw_Island_(Canandaigua_Lake)

Hum we have a Squaw island on Canandaigua Lake too ....

The above is true and contains so much " fail" it makes ones head spin. Stiletto is a style of knife NOT a means of opening , a gravity knife opens by well gravity not centrifugal force . Only in NY is gravity and centrifugal force considered one and the same . Where is Sheldon when we need him ......, Personally I ignore it all and carry what I want , worked well for decades .

This is taken off a web site that is not complete or acurite . Try open carrying a common folder in NYC 1,000s have been arrested for it. So many that many knife companies won't ship ANY folders to a person In ANY part of the state . I just had two Spydercos shipped to N.C. For re shipping to me in Western NY. The auto knife and hunting is NOT if you have a hunting Lic. But only while doing so and that's still a bit of a grey area as well. I could go on but I got meat on the grill...

I,just read that dmaps in my area may go from two to four per Hunter . Let's see I get one doe tag in bow two reg. doe tags , can get two second round tags, two signed over and two dmaps that's nine doe tags now . Giving me two more wont help as I'm never taking 11 doe ! 2 and many years in the past 3 if I had someone to give it to is about it . It's hard to make few do most of the work, we need to,spread it out. Many bow hunters I know and that's a lot have little to no interest is taking does , perhaps because where I hunt it's very good and at work we get tons of time off to,hunt . I understand that is not the case for many though . Perhaps a carrot instead of a stick ? A point system for killing does , builds up after so many points , every say 6 doe during bow you get an extra buck tag. One year or six however long it takes . Must be visual proof of kill lic. Agent hangs out point after seeing deer and tag filled out . Just off the top of my head doesn't have to be exactly that. Ok my first beer is waiting !

Full tang is a fixed blade knife where the tang goes all the way through the handle. As far as NYC ,can not be carried in the open . If the clip,is showing they consider that open carry. If an officer can inertia open it they call it an illegal gravity knife , which is incorrect. A gravity knife of which the German paratroopers knife is THE classic one , opens when a button is pressed and the knife turned upside down , ie gravity opens it ..... There are cases where it took the officer many tries at full force before he could " flick" it open , hardly a " gravity knife " or perhaps NYC has a gravitational force far greater than planet earth .... C When I'm in NYC something I avoid as much as possible , I tighten the pivot and pocket carry. The two main illegal folders in the state would be automatics ( silly and moot with the one hand openers of today) and double edge . Right now I'm carrying a Microtech out the front auto with double edge ! Made in America and darn fun to play with , hey Jack Bauer carried one !

Some random thoughts . I know several guys who don't bow hunt till Nov. they like to hang their deer a few days and want little to do with warm weather hunting, others just want to hunt the rut. These are very good hunters with great spots so,killing a decent buck is almost a given . Most bow hunters I know take time off in the rut and that is where their time is spent on stand , early season hunting is something they do if the weather is right and family events allow it ( not going to fight the wife to,hunt in Oct.) This is just like going back to a Oct 15th opener for many. They won't be out there Oct 1 to 15 anyway. They should have done this when they changed the opening date a few years back, now I'm used to the fact I can take a buck early if I choose. I took two doe last year , both in gun both at the very end of the day when I knew there would not be chance at a buck that day . I give them away most times , two is more then the wife and I eat anymore . I guess I can take a doe in the first few days of bow then stay home till Nov. when I got 3 weeks off.... Earn a buck I can see that ,many I know pass countless doe in bow these guys will now at least kill one . Might be better than a few trying to,kill many.

Benchmades are very good knives , they use a color code that basically is a quality level, although even the lowest ones are better then most box store knives. For 5 bucks they'll sharpen it and go,through it to make sure it's up to factory specs. For $35 they'll replace the blade ( or did in the past) I beat the crap out of my 710 for years and years , $ 35 and I got a new blade ($150 for a new 710 btw). The Axis lock is really strong, 154 cm is a great steel , Knife of the year in 2,009 and made in the U.S.A ! Nice choice enjoy ! Here is the color code http://www.benchmade.com/news/pr.aspx?id=12
