Was in Pittsburg the last couple days watching the Cardinals play . My nephew is so busy with his company it's hard for him to string a couple days together to hunt , throw in 3 young kids ( two who hunt) it's hard for me to go as I need him for this hunt . Plus his side of the river is not that large for a few guys to hunt. Btw I'd drive it's about 14 hours , he comes back here in a day. He was checking on buying the land on the other side of the river, it was going for a little over 900 k......if he does that he said there would be lots of room for me. As for good towns to live in he did send me the names of a few some months back , I'll see if I can find them .

Another great thing is the subdivision he lives in has a house available for guests of residents to rent for $50 a night . It's no shack either this is a high end area. He has to cross a bean field and set up along a river. He's the only Hunter on his side of the river as well. We're talking houses of multi millionaires more golfers not a lot of bow hunters .......

My nephews cam was out ten days close to 900 pics, the date is off this is right near Nashville you can see his housing track in the background of some of the pics. He said he had a lot more bucks to many to send here's a few of the ones he did.

The stock market is a long term investment I've been in for 30 years and plan on at least another 30. One year or five is but a blip . It a major part of the reason I'm retiring in my late 50's and my kids have no college debt. Dollar cost average let it ride. A three or four fund lazy portfolio rebalance as needed . Right now nearing retirement I put 30% in fixed at 4%. Start when you first start working , it's the early money that can really work for you . My wife and I aimed for around 15 % of our gross to invest. But we don't own " nice "cars or trucks or a large home. But long term we're thrilled with the market.

Nice idea. If you us this rope cam lock you can lock the rope and hold the stand in place so you don't have to hold it or tie rope off around tree or steps if alone . This one one only does small ropes, there are others for larger diameter ropes. http://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Camjam-Small-Tightener/dp/B00D7XGDDU

I gave up trying to pick and choose when and where to carry, doesn't make much sense to me. I don't only wear my seat belt when on expressways or high traffic roads I wear it driving down my street at 25mph to a friends house even thought I seldom pass even one car. Two times in the woods/ fields I had weapons pulled on me, once a knife ( I interrupted a guy and girl doing what guys and girls do...) the other I was in a creek wearing hip boots well away from any road, two guys one with a bat the other a machete . Neither of them seemed really committed to an attack, but I no longer leave it up to them.....

I carry a handgun when out and about because carrying a cop is to heavy .

I don't consider my self a hoarder, in the last two years I bought one brick and two 100 packs of cci although I could have bought tons more .I replaced basically what I shot up ,about a brick a year, but I believe in keeping supplies at home not the store shelf , so I keep a five to ten year stock of what I know I'll use. The old ammo in the pic I got at a garage sale a few years back few thousand assorted rounds for about $80. One should always keep a shock of consumables on hand , and a consumable like ammo that's always under attack , to ban , limit , tax and heck out right outlaw should be at the top of a shooters list. For those with short memories we saw the same thing happen with .380 ammo what five or six years ago? Could not find it ,white box was like $30 bucks when you did ,some learn from the past some repeat it . I used to like Black Talon ammo, Winchester withdrew it from the market in 1,996 I killed a seven point with it three years ago...,,

Ok I know I'm not the only one thinking that....

Looks like Lawdwaz did let his daughter date after all . Sorry Larry could not resist .
-
I had to look it up, I had a faint recollection of it as well as a Star Trek episode that had collars .
-
In the 1,991 prison movie Wedlock , the collars would explode ....... Or just give each prisoner an I Phone. It'll never leave their hand and one can track it quite easy .
-
Wildcat was 79 cents the brick $8.50. If the last 30 years of attacks on The 2nd amendment , Obama getting elected twice did not teach you to stock up , I'm at a loss on what to say .
-
I ve only seen 4 of those movies and some were decades ago, so I'll have to take your word for it ......

Like many here I like Old Forge as well, it's an easy ride from Rochester. We've camped and hunted in the Moose River plains, camped at Nicks Lake and stayed at many of the hotels . Be aware some, of the hotels in the center of town can be full of partiers on the week ends. Last couple years we stayed at the one right next to the Old Mill restaurant , very basic rooms bit a bit quieter . Oh and eat at the Old Mill get the family bowl of the soup of the day too. You can take your canoe to Rondax rd (spelling?) put in and canoe back to town, I've always found a local kid to pay to,take me back to the car. It's a nice paddle good spots to swim. Take a ride to the Big Moose Inn for dinner one night. The hardware store is kinda neat even after the many times I've been there. You can drive around in the evening and see tons of deer , heck they walk right through the town . Start off on the roads behind the Old Mill. One year going towards Nicks lake we saw 6 bear in one guys back yard ! Catch a breakfast at Keyes as well. If you go to,the water park remember "in after 3 next day is free". So go one day for a hour or two and came back next day for free. If that interests you. Hum now I want to go too !

The problem with making something idiot proof , is as soon as you do someone builds a better idiot.

Taxes are good and the deer hunting is as well. My sisters son lives there, he owns a company inc. mag ranked as the fastest growing financial services company is the U.S. His kids go to private school with the children of Luke Bryant , he shoots on the farm owned by Blake sheltons producer. He has access to some great deer hunting land as well. This one is last years bow kill from right behind his house.

I bet they've been eating Aunt Bees pies that were cooling on the window sill. I also wonder if someone could get them sizable power tools, how hard would it have been to get them a day pack of clothes and some cash as well ?
