  1. I saw it on the news at 6 tonight. Not closing but they will be relocating jobs to I believe Alabama(dont remember exactly what state they said). This will mean that less people will be employed here
  2. Congrats to you & your family!!
  3. I dropped one of my guns off there a few weeks ago for some work. They have a nice little shop there. I hated that he moved since i was only about 10 min away but it wasnt a bad drive at all. Hoping my gun will be done this week so I can get out and get the new scope all sighted in and do some shooting
  4. My buddy posted this on facebook a couple weeks ago. I was kind of surprised, I thought it was actually a pretty good commercial
  5. I am just curious if anyone plans on attending the safe act forum today at 3 at the sportsmans show at the oncenter in syracuse? Due to circumstances I have had a change of plans for my weekend and will not be able to make it. was just curious if anyone here was going to make it and could post some info about what was said. I wss curious to ask what the prices for a background check for ammo was going to be. Hearing it could be $10-20 just pisses me off so wanted to find out about that and any other info given. If anyone attends and is able to post some info that would be great!
  6. Thanks law and jjb. You guys were right. The threads on cap are very fine. You dont want to damage those or it will be hard to get back on. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. Hopefully when it is finished I can get another 40 years out of it!!
  7. Thank you. I kne there was a spot for it I was just skipping over it when I was looking through
  8. Ive got an Ithaca model 37 12 gauge pump. My dad bought the gun back in 73 and gave it to me a few years back. I would like to have the stock and forearms refinished and a buddies dad does that stuff for a living and said he would do it for me. Just wondering if it is hard to remove the stock and forearm. I have never done it before. I have not even looked at it before so I figured I would post this now and when I get home later I will take a look on here and at the gun. Thanks for any help anyone can give me!
  9. So this is basically if you want to buy license online and to report harvest? It keeps telling me my phone # is invalid and it can not validate my drivers license. It is all entered correctly
  10. I dont know max amount. And I dont trailer enough anymore either to have a separate ezpass either. I just go through a boith when I bring my snowmobile up north in the fall and when I bring it home in the spring. I just let it deduct the extra off my balance
  11. It can tell you have a trailer which if you do not have a proper account for the trailer they will not be able to tell how many axles you have to charge you. They will not charge you accordingly. They will charge you with the max amount they can. I found out the hard way.
  12. There is a camera that snaps a picture of your plate as you drive through. Not sure where or how exactly. Just what the guy told me when I called to dispute the extra charges I got. My wife just reminded me this happened to me twice once with my snowmobile trailer and once with our camper in pennsylvania on way back from nascar race in dover. Those charges didnt get refunded. If you go through lane with a toll person you can get charged accordingly. If you go through ezpass only lane you can get charged like i did if you dou do not have proper ezpass for trailer. You can get a seperate ezpass for just when you are towing a trailer that is designated to how many axles you have and whenever you use that it will charge you the rate for car and trailer if you go through ezpass only lane.
  13. As long as you go through a "manned" toll lane so they can charge you accordingly you will br fine. I went through the "ezpass" only lane once with my snowmobile trailer. I figured they would never know. Then I got my statement and because the plate on trailer didnt match my ezpass account I got charged from the start of thryway in Albany to the syracuse exit I got off at. Guy told me to always go through a booth that has someone working it if you have a trailer and you will br fine
  14. I posted the article in the previous comment. I couldn't figure out how to post the link so I had my daughter help me get the article on there. yes I am pretty much computer illiterate
  15. Safe Act bullet ruling only in effect for Western New York, DA Fitzpatrick says Syracuse, N.Y. - A federal judge's ruling this week striking down New York's seven-bullet maximum does not change the current law statewide, according to Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. On Tuesday, federal Judge William Skretny in Buffalo struck down a provision of the NY Safe Act restricting gun owners from loading more than seven bullets in 10-round magazines. That ruling, however, only covers the Western District of New York - an area that includes Buffalo and Rochester but not Syracuse. That means the ruling is not binding in the rest of the state, Fitzpatrick said. That could change if the state appeals the decision and the 2nd Circuit Court rules on the matter. But that could be months away, Fitzpatrick added. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will decide whether New York appeals the bullet ruling; his office had no comment today on whether he will appeal. Until then, Fitzpatrick's advice for those outside of Western New York is to abide by the Safe Act as written and adhere to the seven-bullet limit. "My advice would be to continue to follow the law as written unless you want to get involved in a lengthy challenge," he said. 16. Trying to figure out how to attach it using my phone. I wont have access to my laptop until later tonight
  17. I just read an article on Syracuse.com from the Onondaga county DA about the recent ruling about the 7 bullet limit in a gun. He says that since this was ruled in a court in western NY that these changes only apply to these areas, that include Buffalo and Rochester. Any other areas of NY state it is still illegal to have a gun loaded with more than 7 bullets. How does it only affect a certain area if a state court has ruled on a state law?? anybody know how this can work like this?? I will try to see if I can post the article on here.
  18. My uncle and I saw some scrapes last weekend while we were out. One was real big with leaves and dirt thrown five feet behind it. We were joking that it looked like something a bull would do before it charged. Real easy to know it was fresh with the snow we had. Some scrapes that we knew were there before the snow were not touched but we saw 3-4 that were

I started my 11 year old shooting trap this summer. He started with my dads 870 20 ga. By the end the end of summer he was shooting the 20 gauge plus a browning A-5 sweet 16 and 12 gauge. My son isnt big for his age. I actually think he is smaller than his friends from what I see. I would go with a 20 ga.
