  1. 6.5 Creedmoor is from what I read a death ray. Really all you need to do is be close with your shot and shiit Just dies........
  2. I’d bet that’s the same one I saw. Years ago......I had the family in the car/truck and we were going past those railroad tracks, heading south. I freaked right The heck out and had to get off at William St and get back on the 90 going the opposite way, then get off on Walden and get BACK on to see the giant buck. He was on the west side of the 90, south of the railroad overpass. (The one that goes above the 90) He was a 170” all day long, I’d bet my life on it.
  3. Tough deal Eddie.......... Glad you are on your way to better health!!
  4. In 1983 I bought a brand new Ford Ranger from Jim Doyle Ford on Delaware Ave. My salesman was John Lipiarz (SP) and it cost (IIRC) $8300...........I put 180K on it but blew the motor at 160K. Sold it to a friend in 1991 and he put probably 75K on it. It was the first year they offered them and it was 4x4 with a stick, no A/C. A great ride!!
  5. Terrible tragedy, condolences to ALL involved.
  6. Tell me THAT ain't a blast from the past!!!!!!
  7. Man do I like seeing bears on cams.........I sure hope some of the members here get lucky this fall and connect on a good bear!
  8. I didn't want to bump this up again but...............
  9. Do to the last forum outage I've been thinking......... My phone has been inundated with numerous calls and text messages along with a slough of emails as fellow forum members were in a panic mode and wondering what we were going to do with all our idle time. One long time (goof ball) forum member even talked about selling all his hunting gear as he figured he'd never hunt again if we lost this site. So here we are.......I think we need a plan for future outages. I don't think FEMA will help us as we are kind of a "low priority" issue for them. How about we meet at a central location? I think we head to the Bristol, NY area as two VERY prominent forum members live there. Bring your "bug out" bag with necessary provisions for 3-7 days and I think we'll be GTG.
  10. Didn’t you buy a gun from me a few years ago??
  11. Well heck if you're on the ground 100% of the time you'd be a fool to wear a harness now wouldn't you? Same as you'd be a fool to spend 30 seconds in a tree without one.........
  12. How does that work out in super cold weather or rain? You still wear it outside all your clothes?
  13. GREAT picture...... I have a bus story of my own: Back in '75 or '76 my buddy and I were dog tired after hunting rabbits all morning and part of the afternoon. We were only a couple miles north of Springwater when we headed for home. As we walked along the shoulder of RT 15A we stuck our thumbs out looking for a ride. Lo and behold who stops to give us a ride but a Greyhound bus, empty of course. The driver said as long as the guns are unloaded, he'd take us as far as we wanted. He dropped us off at Lawrence Hill Rd and wished us well. Talk about a "not in a million years" again deal!!
