That is GREAT! I know the owners of about 10-12 local Arby's here in town. I'll make some calls although I'm pissed they didn't call me for some donations............

Horribly sad deal.......condolences to his family & friends. RIP Trooper Pratt

First off you suck. Dang it'd be nice to have a cooler to hang 'em in. I'm guessing 38 degrees for your temperature. Please keep us posted on things. Pics would be huge too..................

Reaction to the shot? What was her stance when the trigger was tripped? Find the arrow? What's it look like? How far did you take the blood? Distance of the shot? Ground or elevated? Maryanne or Ginger?

I've gutted and butchered a fair amount of deer and never cut myself that bad. A couple times I had some decent slices while gutting but really nothing bad while butchering. I still haven't. I did it while removing the skull plate from the skull. I was using a 5" boning knife and cutting the ears off then working down around the antler bases. SomeDamnHow I stuck that long blade into my left thumb just deep enough to bleed like a stuck pig. Sucker hurts now when I bump it too. It doesn't need stitches as it is as much of a stab as a slice, the bleeding stopped after a half hour or so and looks to just be oozing now. I dumped some old anti bacterial stuff on it then a couple hours later stuffed it with Neosporin and wrapped it tight. I'm thinking I call in sick tomorrow and go hunting?

If you have another shot of that kudo, hang it. It sounds cool..... I don't have all that much mounted and like yours Dan, it's spread around some.
-
What is the kudo mount on the far left? Those mounts take up some serious sqft of wallboard, eh?

On Opening Day of deer season I'm in the woods unless I kill a buck. I have no idea how many people are hunting............. -
Finnaly we get to see a picture of shawnu. Good job guys, really glad you guys butchered it yourself, not sure of either one of yours experience in butchering but as far as I'm concerned, you really can't mess it up.

Nice! I heard there was a llama running around Arcade, NY. -
I killed a buck last night around 5:30.......got in the stand at 3:30 prepared for the cold and wind. Man was the wind blowing, there was NO doubt what direction the wind was coming from as it was steady as can be from the north west. I was wearing my glasses and not my contacts so my eyes took a while to get used to the bright leaves and darn near full foliage. This was my first time bow hunting this year and I was excited to be back in the saddle. I had a doe sneak behind me around 4:00 while I was seated so I decided I'd better stand for the rest of the shift. The wind was crazy and with that and the wet leaves, you'd never hear one coming. My head was swiveling left, center and then to the right when all of a sudden as I was looking to my left I see a blurred brown flash off to my right and below me. I steal a quick glance down and here's this buck skidding to a halt STRAIGHT down. He's withing 12" of the base of the tree where just two hours before I'd stood and hooked my bow to the haul rope. He looks right up at me and I quickly made the decision to go for the bow, regardless of his next move. I got the bow, hooked the release on and drew back; he freaked out and took two quick bounds to my left and stopped, quartering away. Before I could react, the arrow was gone, slicing right through the boiler room. A quick 40 yard run and he was down......... Well now I went and did it. I punched my buck tag on my first sit, not what I was figuring on. He looked good as it was all unfolding, now he's dead and I'm hunting doe. I'm figuring 2.5 years old, 4 on the left and two on the right. 17.5" inside. I didn't weigh him but probably 140lbs.

Local PD should take that call, DEC guys are spread awfully thin........... -
My handle came from my father and has no real meaning. My given name is Lawrence. Dad had nicknames for my brother and sister too, mine was "Lawrence The Waz" (NOT WAD), hence the Lawdwaz moniker. My brother was nicknamed Emil and sister was Jilly Girl. These days I go by Larry as a few of you know........ Funny thing though, lots of my friends in high school called me "Ted" (like the bear) because I had a hairy chest at an early age. Hairy like a bear. A fair amount of those guys and a few gals still call me Ted to this day.

WTH, when did you make the name change?
